I visited Sri Lanka a few years back and still have very fond memories of the trip and the wonderful food there. As soon as I found out about this place, I knew I had to come. I ordered the garden kottu, which hit the spot but wasn't quite as good as I remember in Sri Lanka. I felt like it was chopped a bit too much to the point that the fried eggplant bits got obliterated. We also had the lentil patties, which were great. I had wanted to order the plain hopper as well but was told it wasn't vegan (strange because it should be) and wouldn't be ready anyway for another hour or so. The vegetarian options are also suitable for vegan as long as you skip the fried egg. The one thing that irked me, though, was the indiscriminate use of disposable tableware even for dining in. That is not acceptable.
The server we had was really nice and really helpful with making sure our items were vegan.
The food was super tasty! I have never had Sri Lankan food before and it was a great!
I have the tofu dish with medium spice and it’s got some serious heat for sure.
Also got the lentil cakes which had a great crunchy outer exterior and really nice spices in the center.
