I am in love with the concept of this vegan canteen.
Read moreThe food is vegan , locally sourced and not expensive. As customers you are supposed to drop your used dishes to the cleaning station and clean the table once you are done ( Loved the concept ) .

A very exciting vegan establishment - Edit
Unassuming from the outside, but a really nice atmosphere on the inside. I want to try everything!
Read moreVery reasonable prices, I wish I could buy the gallon of homemade cashew milk.
I only tried the vegan gelato, but it was probably the best gelato I have tried so far. Super creamy texture, not too sweet 45k for 3 scoops 😋
I wish I found it sooner!
Pros: Delicious ice cream, Cheap fast food, Nice aesthetic
Cons: Fast food, small portions and not health focussed, Confusing set up at first

Good food for a good price. Locals eat here. Friendly staff. Also the people in the attached shop were really lovely and let me test some of their products and talked about traditional indonesian food.

The best - Edit
Large, light, authentic -- a place where local vegans as well as expats and tourists like me end up if they are lucky. Good selection of food at very low prices, including a dozen flavours of ice cream. Shop and takeaway too.

Cantine style vegan eatery - Edit
Cheap cantine style vegan eatery. Frequented by many locals as well. Water and tea refill free of charge. Had kimchi and noodles. The sizes are small but you can easily order 2 mains and it will still be super cheap. There is also a store with vegan products in the same building.

Very few menu items available - Edit
We came around 9:00 a.m. and they had only noodles available which was about a third of their menu. We then went to order a coffee and the power went out for a short amount of time. When it came back on they said they were unsure if they could make coffee and that they would check but no follow up. Had a nice small chocolate bun and left

I had a burger, a ramen dish, summer noodles and a chocolate bun.

The portions were rather small but so are the prices. You can easily eating two main dishes and maybe some dessert and still pay less than at several other places.
Pros: decent food, really affordable prices, good dessert

Amazing concept amazing prices - Edit
After a lengthy chat with one of the owners, we were introduced to the whole concept behind the vegan plant based food restaurant. It’s NOT located on the tourist “Disneyland” side of Sanur, so it’s target is actually the local Indonesian’s to show them that they can eat healthily whilst at a cheap price. $16,000 (USD$1.02) per noodle dish, which are all fantastic in quality, size and nourishment. By seeing ‘western tourists’ eat here, it only encourages more Balinese locals to try healthier eating alternatives.

Cheap and nutritious! - Edit
I was staying close by to Kood and was thinking about going to the grocery to get some supplies for the week, but I thought I'd stop in here for a meal first. Well! I realised that with these prices, it was cheaper for me to eat all my meals here than make my own at home!
Read moreThe place is 'self-service' which basically means that you go in and place your order, give them your name and when it's ready they call it out and you pick it up from the counter. When you're done you clear your own plate at the station at the back of the room. This is perfect if you're someone with anxiety who doesn't like to speak to people often or who feels uncomfortable with servers hanging around you waiting to supply your every need. No sarcasm, I'm actually in love with this concept!
Once again, I want you to wonder with me, how do they keep their prices so low?
The place is huge, it's like a warehouse filled with tables and chairs, they're serving a LOT of food every day! I came on a sunday and there was hardly a seat empty in the whole place.
So, needless to say, I've been there a few times and tried several of the menu items. Almost daily I've had something from the bakery so I feel like I might be an expert on their menu now. So far the only 2 things I haven't had are the burgers and pizzas.
I can't even recommend one product to you over the others because they are all really good. The only down side is that some of the veggies are cold. They must cook everything in batches and have them in containers to dish out from and so overtime things get cold. The noodles however are cooked to order and have (so far) always been hot.
I had a latte which was really nice too. I don't know what milk they used, but they are a big fan of cashew milk that they make in house, so perhaps it was that. It tasted really good, nice and creamy and milky which a lot of coffees in Bali seem to lack when using plant milks. They also have a speciality coffee option which was described to me as being like a foam. Maybe it's like a frappe? Either way, I didn't get it because she said it was sweet, which is not what I'm after in my coffee, but if that's your thing then go for it.
What I especially like is that after you've put your order in and paid, they tell you that it's all plant-based! Like it's a little secret they've been keeping to surprise you with!
So, after all that, I'm saying go! Gorge yourself on all the plant-based godness and then go upstairs to the shop and stock up!
Pros: Incredibly affordable- cheaper than groceries!, That bakery!!!!, So many home-made plant based ingredients!
Cons: Sometimes the veg are cold, Not available on Grab

Nice concept + mostly locals - Edit
Recommended by a non-veg grab driver. Place has a nice interior and was not busy when we came at night. I was happy about the small portions and low prices, it meant we got to try lots of different things of the menu. Didn’t love the cinnamon roll and pretzel but the banana breads were really nice.

Fantastic food, smaller portions - Edit
This place was recommended to me by my Indonesian co-worker. I had a plate of fantastic-tasting spaghetti and an awesome cappuccino ice cream. The food is delicious and really cheap. Maybe I'm spoilt by massive portions of nasi campur in other Indonesian restaurants because the portion felt kinda small to me. I'd recommend ordering noodles and something else like a salad, but again it depends on each person's appetite.
Read moreRemember to go upstairs to check out their shop. They sell vegan snacks that are baked rather than fried. I bought crackers, corn something, and vegan instant noodles. Can't complain!
Hope they open a branch in Jimbaran.
