Worth the visit when in Lisbon - Edit
I had a great time at Kong while visiting Lisbon. It was so nice to experience traditional Portuguese cuisine but fully vegan. I had the Francesinha, it was so filling and tasty! The staff was friendly and my order arrived quickly. On top of that, the prices were super affordable.

Great food. Enough gluten free options. Really liked the tacos and soup and parfait which are/can be gluten free. The 'octopus' wasn't my favorite but night be yours.

Kong beat us with a filling mushroom risotto. Mellow tasting but good. Vegetable soup was tasty. Good service being fast and pleasant. A little dark the place inside. Would return and try some other dishes.

Fun veganised Portuguese dishes - Edit
We had a lovely meal here, with the chorizo and cheese croquettes being a favourite for us both. For mains I had the ‘happy octopus’ which is very clever, and husband had the fish dish. Both were tasty. We took away the Nutella cake which was incredible. Wonderful staff, they could not have been more attentive and friendly. Very fun for us to try vegan versions of local food, as we always like to try doing this as much as possible!

Maybe one of the best vegan places I’ve been so far! I’m impressed and it’s amazing that they’ve managed to recreate Portuguese dishes which I would have had to skip in a traditional restaurant.

A very nice place to sit and have some food. I tried the "Polvo Feliz à Lagareiro", with happy octopus. Actually it's a mushroom which is cut like a little octopus. This is genius! It was very delicious and the dessert (oreo cream) satisfied me 🫶🏻 The housemade lemonade is also really yummi 😋 If I ever come back to Lisbon I will visit this place again.

francesinha was perfect. i really like it and it was so big, satisfying also. i went to this place with my nonvegan boyfriend and when they learn he is not vegan, they gave a vegan sausage plate present to him for trying vegan food. it was lovelyy.

Food was super delicious and the staff were so helpful and very friendly. Would recommend! So much to choose from on the menu. Tried 3 of the starters (bruschetta, cauliflower and the croquettes) all great but loved the bruschetta the most. The tacos looked amazing and my non vegan friend enjoyed them a lot! This fish which I had was nice although I have had a more realistic fish alternative elsewhere so personally wouldn’t choose this again. Glad to have visited!

The food was traditional Portuguese dishes with a vegan spin. This was the first time I’d tried lots of Portuguese food, such as the sandwich in curry sauce, called a Francescino (or something similar). The desserts were also very delightful. Definitely worth a visit.

We had the Sausage/cheese croquettes as starter, and then as mains the «Happy Octopus» (Eryngii mushroom w/roasted potatoes), and the Tacos (hard shell tacos with different kinds of creamy fillings). To finish, we had the Oreo Mousse.

The atmosphere of Kong is welcoming and eclectic. The staff was warm and welcoming, speaking English if necessary. The Bitoque was incredible--a juicy, savory seitan steak. The fish had an interesting texture inside. I'm curious to find out what they use to create a flaky, juicy fish texture. The Octopus (mushroom) was good but not enough for a full meal. Kong was absolutely the highest quality vegan food in Lisbon. I would recommend this spot to any person: vegan or not.
