Vegan koláče - Edit
I really wanted to try traditional Czech pastries and was happy to come across this place. I tried a poppy seed one and a mixed berry one and they were both delicious.

Read moreL’accueil a été chaleureux et les kolace absolument délicieux. Il y en avait 5-6 MAIS ils n’étaient pas indiqués. J’ai demandé à la vendeuse qui m’a gentiment renseigné.
Ils étaient séparés des non vegan.
Malheureusement, j’y suis allée le dernier jour de mon voyage à Prague car ils n’étaient pas ouverts le 01/01/2026 et je n’étais pas emballé par l’esthétisme de la viennoiserie. Quelle erreur, si j’avais su, j’en aurai acheté un par jour tant c’est bon.

Didn’t Quite Ko-Lac Onto My Heart - Edit
Having done a modicum of research into local delicacies and having discovered the existence of the kolac, it would have been remiss (almost rude) of me not to try at least one before departing the city.
Read moreIn venturing to this place, I got the opportunity to sample four, which was quite the unexpected bonus. Though my joy may have been another’s displeasure as I got the distinct impression that the server on shift was rather enjoying the fact that no one was bothering them until I rocked up. Nevertheless, this wasn’t going to distract from the task at hand.
Even though the fillings were somewhat irrelevant, as I was going to try them all regardless, I held out most hope for the two poppyseed variations (one with plum), while I was slightly dubious about the plum jam option. However, it was actually the Strawberry & Rhubarb that most curried my favour, while the others all hit about the same level of adequacy.
Overall, I can’t say that I was overly impressed with my first taste of these treats. That’s not to say they were bad, they just weren’t as good as I was expecting. Whether better examples are to be found elsewhere, I am not sure, but on this evidence I’m afraid to say that this particular bake won’t be joining my personal Pantheon of Pastries

Kolaches is a Czech comfort food/treat and a lot of the magic is due to childhood memories of baking it at home/getting treats. Especially poppy seed has a peculiar flavour and even a lot of Czechs aren't fans. Great you liked the strawberry rhubarb version - that's one of the classic combinations. Vegan kolace they had 6 different varieties one of each so I suppose could get sold out but very nice. Great communication and service. About 6 different plant milks available so excellent for coffees or a chai latte

When I went today there was no vegan Koláč, the server said they’re all veggie but not vegan so definitely make sure to ask. Maybe vegan options were just sold out though. They do have alternative milk for drinks (I think oat and soy) and the matcha latte was lovely.

4 different traditional Czech vegan pastries to choose from. the first time I got blueberry, this time I got strawberry rhubarb. they also had mixed berry and poppy seed almond. very good chai and matcha too.
