Good vegan sushi - Edit
We had some really good sushi roll with sweet potato (first time we try) and we really enjoyed that! So tasty.

It's always good to have vegan sushi options!
But I'd say for the amount is a bit pricey

Excellent vegan options in Perth - Edit
Several vegan options on menu. After reading the reviews here, we choose the spring rolls and seaweed pakora as appetizers- both delicious!
Read moreEntrees we enjoyed were the Okenomiyaki w/ tofu & Katsu Curry haggis. An excellent way for a plant based eater to have a Scottish “traditional dish!”
Both were amazing. Very flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning.
Pros: Excellent service- very attentive staff, Delicious food , Wide variety of vegan options

5 Stars if I Could! - Edit
I've dined here 3 times and have been impressed every visit!
Read moreKoku Shi has a fantastic menu with lots of options for meat eaters, veggie and vegan diners and those who are gluten free. Everything is really clearly labeled making ordering a breeze!
I highly recommend trying the seaweed starter, the Tofu or Vegan Haggis Katsu Curry and the Tofu Okonomiyaki (a tasty cabbage pancake with terriyaki sauce and a sriracha mayo) - all delicious standout options! My partner really enjoyed his Tofu Shoyu Ramen, too.
If you're in the area this spot is worth a visit. The staff are great and the food is consistently good.
Pros: Katsu Curry (Tofu and Vegan Haggis), Vegan Okonomiyaki, SO many options!
Cons: None!

Really impressed - 5 stars if happy cow allowed! - Edit
We had some avocado maki, haggis katsu and tofu okonomiyaki. Haggis katsu was especially delicious. Really friendly and attentive service. Very good value, especially in comparison to other places we ate out while in Perth. And this was much tastier too! Saw a previous review says they don’t serve alcohol - they now do.

Very delicious - Edit
I really enjoyed the dishes I tried. I had the okinomaki hash brown with a little added soy sauce and it was divine. I then had a small plate of sushi. So much nicer fresh than the sushi from supermarkets.

Vegan options for all 3 courses, mains inc. sushi, tofu - pad Thai, katsu curry, poke bowls etc. For dessert it’s warm chocolate brownie and ice cream with a raspberry coulis. Food is so fresh, tasty and full of flavour!

Plenty For Vegans - Edit
It’s not just a case of here’s the vegan option, from starters to mains and sushi there’s plenty to choose from. We had seaweed pakora and agedashi (deep-fried tofu with umami sauce) followed by tofu donburi and breaded tofu Raman.
Read moreIt was all beautifully presented, delicious and served by friendly staff.
I’ve seen some criticism that it’s a bit expensive but it compares well to other nearby places and the quality and portion sizes make it worth it.
It certainly seemed to be the best option for a vegan evening meal in Perth. We would eat there again
Pros: Lots of vegan choices , Tasty food , Friendly staff
Cons: No completely vegan

Great choice of vegan options available. We shared starters of veg gyoza, edamame, seaweed pakora and spring rolls. Then I had the savoury veg pancake with tofu and kimchi salad. Really good food, friendly staff.

5 stars - amazing Japanese fusion - Edit
Would rate 5 stars if HappyCow allowed it! This is one of our regular spots. The restaurant is lovely and they have so many vegan options: soups, sides, mains, sushi, dessert and tasty fusion dishes like haggis futomaki! The food is delicious and the staff are friendly.

Best vegan dinner in the city - Edit
Clearly marked vegan options and loads of choice. Excellent service. Had okonomiyaki and haggis futomaki and both were delicious. A little pricy, but definitely worth it. Open Monday and Tuesday too, which seems to be rare here! Sadly they couldn't do the vegan pb&j maki desert due to lockdown, and the brownie cake was not to my taste (it's more like a dense cheesecake than brownie).

Okonomiyaki! - Edit
We had an utterly delicious meal here. Started with vegan okonomiyaki, which I have never seen before, then ramen and katsu curry, finishing up with orange sorbet. The vegan and veg options are clearly labelled as such, and the service was great. NB they do not serve alcohol.
