Very Happy Surprise! Vegan burger in the middle of nowhere! - Edit
I came across this shop on my way to Ninohe from Appi Kogen Ski Resort. At first, I didn't know they had vegan food. But the outside of the shop looked nice and it said that they make and sell miso there. I was curious, so I went in. To my great surprise, they had several vegan food options including a burger called "Misoy burger" (Miso+soy meat).
Read moreMy husband and I were very impressed! We both ordered the Misoy burger set which came with fries and soup. I asked the staff about the soup to make sure there wasn't any fish stock or anything, and it was OK! We also ordered both types of miso kiritanpo (walnut and egoma), wild grape amazake soda, and coffee. Everything was delicious! I especially enjoyed the burger set and the walnut kiritanpo.
They also have a shop where they sell all kinds of koji and miso products, and some other local foods.
There was plenty of seating and there was even free wifi and outlets where you could charge a computer or phone.
If you are going through this area, I HIGHLY recommend stopping here!
Pros: Very tasty!!, Vegan lunch, sweets, and drinks available!, Really nice atmosphere and lots of good products.
Cons: No vegan mark on menu - ask if unsure, Also serves regular meat burgers, only open for lunch - closed Thursdays
