A little outdated but the food was amazing! Super friendly and had a menu for vegetarian, remove the egg and it’s vegan!

Tasty!! - Edit
I ordered the Vege Bibimbab made easily vegan without egg! The sauce to put on top is amazing and ordering the stone pot keeps the food super hot and makes the rice super crispy!!

Delicious vegan friendly Korean Food - Edit
My partner and I love eating at Koja! He is not fully vegan - eats mostly plant based, but he loves eating vegan here more than eating non vegan!
Read moreStaff is always friendly and understands what vegan means. To be honest sometimes I’m not always sure about when fish sauce is used (i.e. I think it is in the miso they serve, but miso comes with some vegetarian meals? But one time we ordered sweet potato sushi and the waitress told us she had them not put the sauce on top since she thought it had eel sauce which we didn’t even think of! So they do know)... And at the banchan I do question if there is fish sauce in the kimchi or mayo in the potato salad after I tried them (since most kimchi has anchovy and the recipes I saw online for the potato salad used mayo) - even though we’ve been told they don’t - but I’m a bit paranoid after tasting so I just don’t get those dishes. (Maybe that’s just me being weird but I wanted to mention.)
I do wish they labeled which menu & banchan items were fully vegan (or could be made vegan upon request). Also since it is a Korean BBQ place they do have grill tables if that is upsetting, although that is a separate room and you wouldn’t be seated there unless you tell the server you are there for BBQ. Those are just somethings to keep in mind though.
I have tried most of the items on the vegetarian menu and they’ve all been really good! We wouldn’t keep coming back so often if we didn’t love the food! There is a full page vegetarian menu, but my favorites would definitely be the Vege Japchae, Tofu Teriyaki (Ask no miso soup since one server did say it had fish), and the Vege Soon Tofu soup (ask no egg). They do also have some appetizers that we were told are vegan friendly - edamame, mandu (fried veggie dumplings), deok bok ki, and some others we haven’t tried.
Again, definitely let the server know if you are vegan and ask questions because they’ve always been friendly and accommodating! (It’s still nice to have a vegetarian menu since I don’t see that at many places Korean or not, but hopefully if more vegan customers keep coming maybe they’ll start labeling things Vegan!). But for now it’s really nice to have somewhere in the valley to get delicious Korean food! Definitely recommend giving a try! We wouldn’t come here so often if we didn’t love it. Thank you for having options Koja! :)

Pros: Separate Vegetarian Menu, Delicious food (can accommodate spice level), Very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Nothing labeled vegan on menu or at Banchan, Can be a bit pricey , It is a Korean BBQ so can be a lot of meat around
