Loved the tofu burrito

Was nice to have my first tofu of the trip. Massive portion sizes so come hungry!

Alright Food

The food was just alright. Was glad to find a vegan option in Sam Ignacio but I would not be thrilled if I had to go back.

It’s hot food

Imagine the most mid falafel sandwich in your city. The burrito with the veggie patty is that. There’s nothing wrong with it but there nothing particularly right with it also. The fried plantains were good. A solid choice if you don’t want to modify or stress to much about making something vegan.

Just Not It

This place had good reviews on Google but I definitely should have come here first before trying it. I ordered the Burmese curry which looked like regular curry when I recorded it. It came with a side salad which was good except all of the food was in the same compartment so the curry juice was on it and it was warm 😩

I really wanted to like the curry but I had two bites, added salt, tried a few more bites and decided that it just wasn’t worth it for me. Based on the reviews of the burrito, I’m thinking I just ordered the wrong thing.

Pros: Quick , Affordable , Several vegan options

One of several good options in town

This place seems pretty popular, and having eaten here I can see why. The food is tasty, and they have a small selection of vegan and vegetarian options.

Great value for money

I had the tofu burrito with fried plantain on the side with a passion fruit iced tea and it only came to 21.75bz.
The burrito was massive and really nice. I added spicy sauce. I may go back tomorrow before leaving here.

Good food, but need to specify non-vegan ingredients

I would recommend specifying ingredients in most places in Belize as we've had a few incidents now. Along with cheese and eggs, don't forget to tell the waiter you don't eat mayonnaise: we got some on the falafel burger that we had to send back (they removed the lettuce the mayo was stuck to and just gave us new bread). The chaya local spinach fried with onions, garlic, and tomatoes is quite yummy and you can't go wrong with their fries and ketchup either.

I’ve continued to go back maybe 20 times now

I live in the area, and this is the restaurant I frequent the most. The soup, the veggie burger, veggie or tofu burrito, spicy eggplant, and veggie curry and the options I most frequently get which are either already fully vegan or easily vegan. The options are always reliably good. Good portions. Friendly. Good prices. The veggie patty is house made and vegan as far as I’ve been told.

Pros: Know what vegan is, Good prices, Reliably good

Cons: Not super healthy potentially , Basic options

Good options for vegans

Had the vegetable curry with silken tofu, reasonably tasty, but not wow. Nice to see a number of vegan options on the menu and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Nice plantains and fruit juice too. Seems popular.

Pros: Staff friendliness

Cons: If you want spicy you should ask but I didn't

Enjoyable meal

I really liked this place as it was clearly popular with locals and the staff were helpful. I ordered a veggie curry with coconut rice. It was a very mild curry which I was a bit disappointed by and the veg used was a bit random, but it still tasted good.

We were a fairly big group and the food still came out quickly.

Pros: Popular with locals, A few vegan options, Quick service

Cons: A bit bland

Good for quick meal

The staff was very nice and accommodating. We had bean and rice burritos. The rice was just white rice and there was a little too much compared to the bean portions. The tortillas were delicious and thick!

Pros: Vegan options

Not bad!

Ordered a veggie burrito with tofu and it was quite a large portion! Fairly priced too and in a busy part of San Ignacio with lots to see and do

Pros: Some vegan options

Not great food but nice spot

Got the tofu burritos and rice and beans and they weren’t great. I’m sure they are trying, but the tofu was just uncooked silken tofu which was gross, and the rice and beans were very bland. Good drinks and cute place in a nice spot in town.

Delicious and Large Portions

We are here for lunch and dinner in the same day, as they are one of few places open in Sundays. We had the veggie curry, coconut rice, baked potato, Chaya rice (rice with coconut flakes & Chaya leaf), steamed vegetables, and veggie burrito with veggie burger inside. Everything was delicious

Pros: Big portions , Many vegan options, Good price

Cons: Not the healthiest options, No soy milk/almond milk if you take it in coffee

Good vegan options

We were able to put together a vegan breakfast plate even though it was not on the menu. Fry Jacks, fried plantains, and a side of beans with some Fresh fruit. Great early breakfast before tours. Came back for dinner and got a spicy coconut eggplant dish and a yellow coconut curry. Another table had a huge vegetable and bean burrito. Tofu on menu as well as a soy breakfast patty. The next morning we ordered a veggie burrito (from the lunch and dinner menu) and asked for Tofu which they added silken tofu.

Mediocre

Kudos for trying to make vegan food options. Busy place so must be good for non gluten free vegans. Food wasn’t tasty for me but my non vegan friends enjoyed.

Pros: Few vegan options , Friendly staff, Good prices

Cons: Veggie burger not tasty, Hot no a/c

Many vegan options

Not on the regular menu but staff knows what vegan means. We recommend the fry jacks for breakfast. Ate here twice and got coffee to go one morning too. Open early so you can stop before your tour. Seems to be full of tourists but some locals stop by too.

Pros: open early

Regular

This is my go to spot. The service is on point and the food is quite good. They are flexible so you literally can have it your way. I'm vegan/75%raw and this is the best I can find in the area having multiple choices or customise what you want to eat.

Pros: Long hours daily, Customer service, Credit card, no problem

Cons: Wood seating, small establishment, Parking
