The lasagna was delicious. And in the deli they have it so you can eat more great lasagna at home. If you can, have a seat in the back under a sort of dome. The people are really nice.

Nice restaurant with organic vegan Market on site, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu could improve, they serve french fries with two of their mains which I would not expect in a place like this.. They could make an effort to serve freshly made potato wedges otherwise I would have rather have boiled potatoes!

Really nice atmosphere with delicious food! The breakfast menu was good, but the dinner menu was exceptional and though on the pricier side, great value for money. The store also stocks some incredible vegan snacks and frozen meals. A big highlight was the beautiful menu crafted into a magazine-style book.

We originally stopped by for dinner, but we were so impressed that we returned the next morning for breakfast and a small grocery shopping trip in the attached store. Everything there was just as fresh and delicious as the meals we enjoyed.
Knol & Kool is a must-visit for anyone looking for excellent vegan food in Ghent. Highly recommended!

The shop is really nice! A very good selection of vegan food products with some hard-to-find items. In the bistro the service was very welcoming and friendly! The menu options are classic but varied. We had some delicious and well seasoned appetizers. The lasagna was very tasty! The seitan steak as well, though a little dry. Had some pastries to take home and these were delicious! Would definitely come back and try some more food from their menu!

Happy Cow pointed me to this place and looking in the window was a bit confused because it looks like a grocery store on the side I looked in but I had one of the best sandwiches I've had in my life. Had a great latte, a really good cinnamon roll, and bought some tasty chocolate from the grocery. Staff was nice. Want to come back to Belgium from the USA for that sandwich.

Food is tasty and menu is varied. Portions are a bit small for the price. The QR code menu is terrible, search doesn’t work, things are barely sorted and lots of things don’t match the paper menu.

Nog iets eten na een dagje Gent of langer tafelen met vrienden/familie: de aangename open sfeer en het lekkere eten vormen de ideale plek voor een gezellige avond. Het eten is lekker en homemade, in het bijzonder de kaaskroketten, burger, balletjes in tomatensaus en de bolognaise (de witloof hebben we nog niet geproefd). De appetizers smaakten altijd en proef zeker de verzorgde cocktails (bv spicht margarita) & mocktails: écht de moeite!

I went to this place for a little brunch. The scrambled tofu is really nice! The place is very spacious but quite noisy (for reference, we went on a Saturday morning, so it was naturally quite crowded). The menu is quite varied, and the little convenience store next door is really cool—we were able to pick up some great finds! 😊
