Honestly the worst experience we’ve ever had in a restaurant. We went here for lunch on Sunday afternoon. They didn’t really have vegan options on the menu, but in most places you can be creative and/or staff will think along. They didn’t, she could only offer bread with dips, and it was a surprise what these dips would be. But ok. They were out of most food (apparently “because it was the end of the week”) and only said so a while after we’d already ordered, so some of us had to change their choices (those who had a choice at least).
Read moreWhen I received my “bread with dips” I honestly thought she was joking and more was to come, but I waited and nothing more came. She said “you get two but we will charge you only one”. The chips that my company received with their sandwiches tasted as if they’d already been lying out of the bag for a week. On top of this all, we received plain fries while my company had ordered loaded fries. The fries had a funny taste, as if the oil wasn’t fresh.
After this really bad experience we received the bill (of 125 euros) and discovered that my “bread with dips” was on there twice (despite her own offer to charge only one) and the plain fries we received were on there as loaded fries that we ordered but never got.
The person from our group who paid didn’t feel the urge to return so we just paid too much and left as quickly as we could. Never going back here and highly advise you to not waste your money here.
Still feel nauseous from the fries as I’m typing this.

Vegan 4-course surprise menu - Edit
We had a 4-course vegan surprise menu and it was delicious! Very good, creative and culinary vegan dishes. It was more than just a meat dish without meat. The service was also very good and friendly. Definitely a good place for vegans to have a luxurious dining experience.

Interieur is prachtig. Geen vegan opties, weinig vegetarische opties. Mijn salade kwam rechtsstreeks uit de koeling. De quesadilla was lauw. Beide borden waren zeer koud. Jammer, want interieur is zeer sfeervol.

nice atmosphere - Edit
Place has nice atmosphere with places to sit on different floor levels. There is not much choice for vegans but they know what it means and it is always possible to choose a salad from the salad bar. Taste of salad was good. Not very special.

The Vegan life in Apeldoorn... - Edit
As a vegan living in Apeldoorn, I know the struggles of having absolutely zero vegetarian or vegan places around. This is one of the reasons I submitted Klein Berlijn to HappyCow. They have awesome smoothies, and a couple of vegetarian en vegan snacks and sandwiches. They also sell vegan soda's, Fritz Kola. I've had a vegan high tea here once, organised by the dutch vegan community, and met other vegans in my hometown.
