Ayurvedic bistro. All dishes are vegan, but ghee (clarified butter) and honey are listed as optional add-ons. The restaurant specialises in kitchari, a traditional ayurvedic dish made with rice, mung dal, and spices. The dish is available in a traditional, savoury, version with sauteed organic vegetables and in a sweet version with soaked dried fruits. Open Mon-Fri 09:00-16:00, Sun 09:00-16:00. Closed Sun & Mon.

It was okey - Edit
Food was tasty but very basic, rice (overcooked) and vegetables. Not my thing. The resturant was very cosy and the staff super friendly.

Hey Dansjo, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review :)
Read moreToo bad we didn't match your taste 100%! What you described as "overcooked" is actually intentional in Ayurveda – it's all about digestibility. The softer consistency helps your body absorb nutrients more easily and is gentler on the digestive system.
The minimalistic spicing isn't by accident either. In Ayurveda, we try to focus on the subtle, natural flavors of the ingredients themselves. Unfortunately, we aren't trained anymore to appreciate these gentler tastes, but they can be surprisingly nourishing once you tune into them.
But of course we get it – tastes are always different, and what we do is also a bit different! Thanks so much again for sharing your feedback and of course – for giving us a try :)

Comfort food to come back for - Edit
I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, and am absolutely delighted that I did.
Read moreThe food is incredible - it's simple, super tasty, nourishing and a very welcome change from all that's available in Berlin.
I had the savory kitchari with a ginger tea, and will definitely be back for more. :-)
The dishes are vegan and gluten free, with clarified butter as an optional add-on.
The restaurant itself is cozy, warm, and inviting. I'm happy this gem exists.
Pros: excellent Ayurvedic and gluten free food, friendly staff, good value
Cons: can't think of any
