Excellent sourdough bread! - Edit
This is an awesome vegetarian bakery in Meilun selling authentic sourdough bread. It is very difficult to find good quality bread in Hualien so this is worth a visit! I really like their wholegrain as well as their mixed herb bread. They use locally grown and organic ingredients as much as possible and do not use plastic packaging, so it is eco-friendly. It is best to pre-order your bread through 'line' or their facebook page (which is currently in Chinese only), but you can also turn up and see what bread is available on the day. The owner speaks some English so can introduce the types of bread. Most items are vegan but some contain cheese or butter. Check with the staff to confirm.

Pros: good quality, local ingredients, eco friendly
