Good selection, tasty & inexpensive

I love the Turkish saksuka dish which is cooked aubergine, potato and pepper cubes in tomato sauce, but it can be sometimes hard to find. You can get this here, along with a lot of other veg. options such as stuffed peppers, cooked broccoli & carrots etc.

There's also a salad bar which is much better than the typical ones in other places - you can get lentil dishes, various bean salads, garnished potato etc.

They used to overcharge for the drinks a few years ago but it seems they stopped doing that now. Prices are pretty good - you can get two good, tasty veg. dishes and a drink for about $5.

Also the bread rolls near the cash desk are especially fresh and crispy, recommended.

There are a few Kirkpinar branches around Turkey, however not all of them have an equally good veg. selection.
Another good Istanbul branch is in the Marmara Forum shopping centre located at walking distance to Zeytinburnu metro station.

Pros: Good selection, can mix & match portions yourself, Tasty dishes, Inexpensive

Cons: No veg. or vegan labelling, but ask if unsure
