Decent - Edit
Decent. Not much more to be said. I had coffee, matcha and charcoal, which is the most un-child friendly ice cream selection of all time

Nice, friendly staff in a clean shop - Edit
Most flavors have honey so ask for the ones that don’t. The staff understood the word “vegan.”
Read moreI noticed they marked the flavors that had alcohol.
Today they had four flavors without honey, vanilla, coffee, charcoal and chai.
I asked for samples of all and got the chocolate and chai with golden raisins as a topping and ate everything outside. Very nice! Well worth a stop if you are in the kitasando area

[Sweets Shop Review: Kippy’s Coco Cream] English below👇
We paid a visit to Kippy’s Coco Cream, a completely dairy-free ice cream shop located not far from Kita Sando station. Apparently this shop only has two locations in the world: the original in Venice Beach, California, and this one.
It’s great that all of the ice cream is completely dairy-free, but we were disappointed by the fact that most of the flavors use honey. There were only three vegan flavors available that day: coffee, cinnamon, and matcha. The staff were very nice and spoke fluent English, and let us taste some flavors before we decided.
I got matcha and coffee (500 yen for two scoops). Both were good, and they definitely taste healthy. Personally, I prefer my ice cream to be a little sweeter, though.
The interior of the shop was very modern, with a juice bar also inside the building. If you like sweets that aren’t too sweet, this place should hit the spot.
Pros: Tasty and healthy , Nice vibe
Cons: Not many vegan options

Average ice cream - Edit
Californian-style healthy gelato shop, I tried the only two vegan flavours they had (without honey: coffee and cocoa). There is definitely better gelato out there.

Cool! - Edit
Really loved the vibe of this place. Very chilled and laid back Californian decor and lovely welcoming staff. There were a couple of vegan options (for those who avoid raw honey) although the ice cream is all dairy free, so if you do eat honey then you will be spoilt for choice! I enjoyed the vanilla date flavour with cacao nibs, hemp seeds and mulberries. The ice cream is made with dates and coconut milk, so isn’t overpoweringly sweet or filling. Really tasty, refreshing and healthy. Will definitely come back.

Ice cream date? - Edit
Classy parlour that looks like it could be a high end clothes or glasses store. When I went there, there were only two flavours that were vegan: vanilla dates and coffee dates. As their names suggest, they are sweetened with dates. (All their other are bee-gan and dairy free, as they sweeten the rest of their flavours with raw honey.) Their honey is sourced from USA but no clue as to whether it's from small apiaries or mass produced. Good for killing your craving and those who are curious but if you want the real deal go for Premarche gelateria in Naka-meguro, as Michael Robinson below mentioned.

Oh honey! - Edit
Using the Happy Cow app and Google maps, we were outside the disappointing San Francisco Peaks when this place showed up as nearby, a very kind Japanese woman overheard our debate on whether to our hunt for burgers on hold and get ice cream, and she offered to take us there, the decision was made. It's a nice place on a main road with not too many seats inside, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Sadly the choices for vegans were pretty limited as most of their ice creams contain honey! I opted for the coffee and coconut ones with a topping of spiced nuts, they were really tasty and they have free coffee on tap to help combat the brain freeze. Good but not as good as Premarche Gelateria which had more vegan options.

Only 3 choices, as the other 8 flavours contained honey. The flavours available were coffee, chocolate and vanilla. We had the chocolate and coffee and they were beautiful. Very unique tasting and I really enjoyed it.

Awesome little taste of home - Edit
I'm from Venice beach and the original Kippy's is a popular spot for me and other locals. I was curious how close this second (and only other) location would be to the original... very! It tastes just like home.
Read moreEvery flavor and topping is vegan except those with honey or bee pollen, which are clearly marked. They don't speak English but can understand enough to give you a sample and take your order!
I recommend the coffee & date paired with the cinnamon and adding candied pecans and salted caramel on top. Yum!
