Best Sandwich I've ever had. - Edit

This place has the best vegan Sandwiches I have ever eaten in my short vegan life. They have a variety of options and combinations and the staff is really nice. Wish they had a place like this back home. :)

Great for a quick bite in the middle of the day - Edit

Great sandwiches! Entirely vegan, all dished are rather small but well created. Unique flavor and great service. Will definitely come back for more!

Pros: All vegan, great service, really quick, efficient

Cons: Rather small portions. A bit expensive, but worth

Sandwiches, smoothies, and juices - Edit

100% vegan place. Good sandwiches, smoothies, and juices. I wouldn't consider the sandwiches a main meal as they're not very big. The sandwiches are 7.8€ or 9€ gluten-free, and smoothies also in the 7-8€ range. So it's a bit pricy but it's good and the service is fast and staff is nice.

Pros: 100% vegan.

Cons: On the pricy side.

Amazing vegan paninis - Edit

I took my little brother here last summer. He was first joking about my veganism, but then he became more interested and curious, so I wanted to encourage him by taking him somewhere all-vegan. I believe we both had the Johnny cashew -panini, and it was great! My brother said that if all vegan food was like this, he might consider it... definitely a success!

Pros: All-vegan, Central location, Tasty

Cons: A bit pricey for paninis

Delicacy in the heart of Helsinki - Edit

I had an amazing sandwich (Johnny Cashew) and green smoothie at this wee vegan place in Forum. The vegan cheese used in the sandwich was amazing and the sauce had a pleasant garlic taste. Service was fast, well presented and the general price was affordable for Helsinki, regarding the quality.

Only pity is that it is inside the shopping mall, but it wasn't too crowded during weekday and it is situated close from an exit, which makes it convenient.

Pros: Quality sandwich fulling you with lovely products!, Amazing smoothie!, Friendly staff!

Cons: Shopping mall

I love this place! - Edit

Great little vegan spot hidden away in the Forum centre, offering sandwiches, smoothies and coffee. The Zohan (hummus, rucola, apple, ginger, avocado with tofu and chili sauce on toasted bread) is incredible. I know it's hard to get excited about sandwiches but this place is really good. Lots of sandwich choices with optional fillings like cashew cheeze and spicy tofu. Really worth seeking out as a good, inexpensive lunch spot in the centre of Helsinki.

great fast food in the mall - Edit

This was perfect for a day we were out and about sightseeing. It was conveniently located near the train station in the Forum Mall(Floor 3). Small menu with everything you would want. Was hard to choose. The menu is in English. It doesn't say on the menu, but everything is vegan. They offer "panini" sandwiches. Everything is made to order. We had the Sir Pesto with Mozzarella and Chili the Kid with seasoned tofu. They were both yummy and satisfying. They offer a combo of sandwich and juice with a 1.20 Euro discount. We had the Pluto(Mango Ginger) and Cobra(spinach and lemon). Liked them both! They were busy. Great concept, which I hope catches on and we see locations around the world.

Nice - Edit

A good place for having a quick and tasty vegan lunch.
They have differents sandwiches, smoothies and juices.
They also have gluten free bread.
It is a bit expensive, considering that is a sandwich place in a mall, but it is still Helsinki.

Pros: Friendly staff, Quick service, Tasty food

Cons: Sandiwich could be bigger

100% AWESOME - Edit

Absolutely amazing flavours. Over the course of this week I tried the Aloha, Mr Pink, Sir Pesto and the Zohan sandwiches. And the Hippie juice. They were so delicious! I highly recommend a trip for lunch, dinner, picnic, snack or anytime!! Without any doubt in my mind I can confidently say the best sandwiches I ever tasted.

Pros: all vegan, great range, quick and easy

Good! - Edit

Small place located inside a mall. It has six different sandwiches to choose from and a variety of smoothies and juices. I had the Johnny cashew and it was delicious. Kind of small but still filling. 8 euros is an ok price.

Pros: Good food, Central location

Cons: Noisy surroundings (foodcourt)

Excellent Sandwiches and Service - Edit

When I approached this order-at-the-counter restaurant, I had a feeling I was going to love the food. I noticed the hot presses to cook the sandwiches, and the ingredients looked fresh and tasty.

My intuition was right! What a great tasting sandwich! Based on a recommendation, I ordered the Johnny Cashew, made with their own special cashew spread, roasted veggies, vegan cheese and a special sauce. Delicious!

So great to see a great little vegan restaurant in Helsinki! I will be back!

Pros: Great vegan samdwiches

My favourite lunch/snack place - Edit

Love this place! Have been here three times now. Always taken the Sir Pesto sandwich, which is divine. The tofu in it makes it so creamy, and the pesto ties every flavour together. Totally recommend that one! Also, there is a good selection of different sandwiches, juices and smoothies, totally vegan.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Fresh ingredients

Friendly raw & vegan food in central shopping cent - Edit

Positives: Fresh food with nearly all vegan & raw options. The style is sandwiches and fruit (smoothies, frozen vegan yoghurt etc.) & it's at the top of one of the 2 largest, central shopping centres in the heart of Helsinki. Take away or sitting down is possible. The staff are super friendly & the pricing is average for the area. It's very clean & seems hygenic too.

Negatives: Considering it's location & menu, this should be speedy like a fast food restaurant but many times can be a bit slow. The sandwiches, whilst nice, have tons of fillings between 2 healthy but seperate pieces of bread - they're always awkward to eat without the filling spilling everywhere.

Pros: Friendliness, Menu range & vegan options, Fresh & tasty

Cons: Can be slow, Tricky to eat breads

Very Tasty - Edit

At freezing temperatures of -9 , I was so happy to find this very bright and fresh looking Restaurant in one of the Shopping Malls in Helsinki. I had a Johnny Cashew Sandwich made with delicious Scandinavian bread. It was filled with avocado, peppers and cashew cheese for €7,80. The friendly staff apologized that they didn't have any more coffee to serve and offered to make me my Smoothie without crushed ice. I had 1/2 a Greenthumb Smoothie for €4,80. At first I found that quite expensive but considering the ingredients and time of year and my location it was quite fair and I must say it was very filling too. The sandwich was definitely my food highlight of the day.

Vegan froyo! - Edit

I've only had frozen yoghurt here, since it used to be the only thing they served (initially not even vegan). I don't know any other place you could get vegan frozen yoghurt and it's really good with all the toppings!

Pros: froyo!

Cons: pricey, in the shopping mall

great food and great location - Edit

The food was not marked vegan but the ingredients were listed. Serves cashew cheese that tasted great as a filling for the sandwiches. It is located in the 'forum' shopping center, easy to recognise. The sandwiches were small but filling. A downside is that a sandwich costs over 7€.

Pros: great location, filling food, fake cheese

Cons: Expensive, food not listed as vegan

4/5 - Edit

I took sir pesto sandwich with cashew cheese. It was really good, but a bit too oily for my liking. I really wanted to try the vegan frozen yoghurt, but the machine was broken so I couldn't. That being said, I will come here again.

Pros: Non-vegan items were clearly marked on menu, Amazing location

Cons: Eating the sandwiches could get messy

Delicious but expensive - Edit

Delicious coffee and sandwiches, kinda expensive though. Not that much places to sit. Also the location gives no privacy, its located in the middle of everything.

Good food, lots of vegan options, quite slow though. It is *inside* the shopping centre. - Edit

Nice little takeaway with a few seats located just inside the shopping centre near the street address given on HappyCow. Just near the street address there is a ground-level tunnel through the street shops to the glass doors of the shopping centre. It's just in the left as you go inside.

All the sandwiches can be vegan by selecting tofu rather than mozzarella. also nice smoothies and frozen vegan yoghurt ice cream.

The combo I had included a vegan sandwich, large smoothie and small ice cream and was about 16 EUR.

Pros: Vegan yoghurt ice cream (vanilla), Tasty sandwich

Cons: A bit messy to eat, Initially tricky to find from happy cow street add, Slow service

Vegan Frozen Yoghurt - Edit

They offer two choices of frozen yoghurt: natural organic frozen yoghurt and vegan soy vanilla yoghurt.
You can choose between three different cup sizes. The small one is 3,70 Euro.
Probably just the fruit toppings are vegan.

By the way, the shop is on the 3rd floor of the Forum shopping mall.

Inside Forum Shopping Centre - Edit

I am confused by the address listed above and by the exterior photo. It is now (June 2014) located on the 3rd floor of Forum shopping centre, not at 29 George Street Yrg. The description says dairy, but they have soy yogurt too.
I had a small (€3,70) frozen soy yogurt with blueberries and chopped kiwi toppings (several toppings to choose from) and a warm panini sandwich with pesto, avocado, tomato, arugula and crumbled tofu, total €10,50. Filling and good. Also available are coffee and tea, juices, smoothies and three other sandwiches, with soymilk and tofu options. Pleasant staff spoke English.

Pros: soy yogurt, pleasant staff

Totally recommendable! - Edit

It's a cafe on the top floor (Kukontori) at Forum shopping center, just next to Picnic cafe. They offer delicious sandwiches, juices and smoothies, coffee (ie.latte, ice latte, ice blended which has frozen yoghurt in it) and more.

All sandwiches can be made vegan (probably they ask if you want it with mozzarella or tofu, I can't remember anymore since I am a regular), also there is frozen soy yoghourt with many vegan topping options (different berries, dark chocolate, chocolate sauce, agave syrup and so on)and actually my omni friend liked the soy option more than the regular!Of course soy or almond milk for the drinks. Also most of the stuff is organic.

Quality-price ratio is great (just remember that Helsinki isn't very cheap so you can't compare it with places like Prague).

As a con I may add that even they have invested in nicer decor it still is at shopping center but still I usually enjoy the goods there. It's popular place so it's nice that they have new terrace too.

So, the conclusion is: you go there and enjoy!

Pros: Quality, Lot's of goods for vegan, Friendly service

Great place for a snack in city center - Edit

This place is situated in the heart of Helsinki, at the food court in the top floor of the mall called Forum. Their specialty is frozen yoghurt, which is also available as vegan soy version with a good assortment of different delicious toppings. All smoothies, juices and sandwiches are also available as vegan versions, so you can enjoy almost a complete meal here.

Pros: Vegan frozen yoghurt!, Everything available as vegan, Very central location

Cons: In sandwiches tofu isn't marinated/cooke
