Excellent vegan & GF dishes - Edit
This is a lovely cosy traditional pub - we popped in for a coffee & stayed a few hours, including for lunch! We had a delicious meal with a good choice of dishes that were both vegan and GF - often a problem to get both in one dish! We had cauliflower bites with chilli jam to start. There were also options of soup, salad, olives etc. We then had a home made butternut squash, carrot & spinach curry with choice of rice, chops or half & half; and a leek risotto with artichoke hearts. All tasty & good portions. There were sandwiches & focaccia that were also vegan & even GF. Decent coffee too. There is always a vegan option for Sunday lunch too.

Pros: tasty, home cooked food, good choice, friendly staff

Options - Edit
More options than most places locally. When we visited there was a lentil and spinach burger and a curry on the main menu and a gnocchi dish on the specials. Worth noting that the special dishes can not be served outside. We had a burger each, it was nice enough. Vegan mayonnaise was served on the side for the chips, which was a nice touch.

Interesting interior - Edit
Had a nice espresso inside. The atmosphere felt warm and original full of gathered decorations. Breakfast service was still going on in hotel the dining room, so we only were able to have a seat in the bar.

Vegan options feel like afterthought - Edit
There’s not many places to dine on Gower and King Arthur always has a crowd outside and looks busy.
Read moreUnfortunately, although there were a couple of vegan options on the menu, there wasn’t much choice.
I had a lentil burger and it was just a load of mush. The chips and the mayo were nice.
Service was quick and friendly.
Pros: Has vegan mayo, Nice chips, Friendly
Cons: Not a lot of choice
