Everything in the restaurant was unique-from the menu to the bill being presented in a cool book. Wife had the warlock which was very scrumptious. My sone and I had the pancakes which had whip cream, bananas, and a few other things making it very unique. Absolutely loved it and would go back for sure!

the kefta and yuba skewers were amazing, as were the cocktails!! charred remains were an awesome way to get some greens in and the brown butter cookies with cereal milk were immaculate. Its usually hard to find vegan options late at night at all so this was above and beyond!

The whole menu was unique and fun and the only problem was deciding what to choose! The skewers had a great texture and sauce, the burger had a unique crunch and the toasted cheese was 10/10. The cheesecake was not quite as good as the rest of the meal but still very delicious.

Oh my gosh, this place is great! The service was really good, the ambiance is great, but the food is absolutely the star! We got skewers and fried mushrooms. It was a mix of lots of different mushrooms, not just white button. For entrees, we got the egg roll burger and the sourdough cheese sandwich with a burger patty on it and a side of tomato soup. I wasn't sure about the egg roll burger, but it was wonderful. There is a hint of sesame oil, which made me audibly yummm. The cheese sandwich had apples on it, and they added just a small hint of sweetness. It tasted like a really great patty melt. The tomato soup was so rich and creamy. It was hands down the best tomato soup I've had. This place is so creative with their dishes. When we make it out to San Diego again, we'll be back to Kindred for sure.

The location is in a quiet neighborhood. Parking is a little tight but once you get situated you’ll find yourself is a fun and funky, edgy establishment. The music is loud and off the beaten path for restaurants but fits in with the vibe. We arrived during brunch service. We all ordered a version of the Mind Melt and started with the fried potatoes. If you’re looking for health food, this is not the place but if you’re feeling naughty, this is the spot. The sandwich is toasted to perfection, crispy and crunchy on the outside creamy and gooey on the inside. The addition of thin apple slices is creative and perfect!

Visited during brunch on a Sunday. The food was delicious and the service was great. I Asked if I can just get a banana for my child by itself, no problem paying extra for it. This restaurant was recommended to me by a local. Happy to have given it a try. Had a reservation at 9:30 and showed up at 9p, still busy. Was seated timely at my reserved time. The food was excellent. Had the potato starters and the Mind Melt. One of the best grilled cheese I've had. Got the tomato soup on the side of course. The only thing about this place is that it's loud. Sometimes hard to hear if you're out with friends having a conversation. But I'd still go back for the amazing food.
