Royally good cakes on royal grounds - Edit

Open during the summer, from May to September.
The building itself is part of the The Chinese Pavilion, built during the mid-18th century in Chinese and Rococo style, and used to be its kitchen, now a café.
They offer a great range of cakes, baked goods, ice cream, Swedish waffles and sandwiches. Coffee, tea and beverages.
They listed vegan cake, actually had two sorts, so I tried them both.
Also had oat milk for the coffee.
A rich chocolate cake with a soft center, a crisp top layer, and a sprinkle of sea salt on top for the perfect balance of sweet and salty.
The other one a soft rhubarb and cardamom cake. Both of them really good.

You can either sit indoors – a unique experience in itself, given the age and charm of the building – or enjoy the lovely outdoor seating. You can also take your order to go and relax in the lush greenery of the beautiful palace park.
