Almost no vegan option here.

Disappointed with vegan option. Summer salad was good but cannot say vegan-option restaurant. Atmosphere is great.

Not vegan...

Only 3 vegan options on the menu. I came for the vegan laksa and there was no more. They sell beef nowadays.

Very pleasant.

The cafe has a lovely atmosphere. Staff where very friendly. Reasonably priced.
There were not loads of vegan/PB options but what I had was worth the visit for sure.
So nice I went back two days later and had the same meal

Pros: Good quality and presentation , Atmosphere , Friendly staff

Cons: There could be more vegan options

Confused

I came here to eat and they didn’t have many of the things on the menu. Some of the food was not vegan. I even thought I might be in the wrong place but no. The staff didn’t have answers about ingredients. I ended up apologising and leaving without eating.

Save the effort

I would not recommend this place. Although the setting is cute and the staff is nice, the food is not good. It’s quite expensive, the portions are small and it doesn’t have flavour. Especially don’t eat the lasagna, it’s horrible!

Pros: Kind staff, Cute restaurant

Cons: Too expensive for what you get

Plant-based, Not Vegan

I visited Kin Cafe because Happy Cow listed it as a Vegan cafe.
The place was dead quiet with no other customers before and while we were there.
The staff warned us that it was vegan food before we sat down.
Some items on the menu were unavailable.
I ordered the waffles and they were bland and basic. The drinks that my friend and I ordered were satisfactory.

The next day I attended the Vegan Cooking Class at Kin Cafe Seminyak and was appalled at how non-vegan it was.
I discovered that they were selling leather and snakeskin in the cafe.
The chef made it clear that he was not vegan and kept making suggestions to make the dish with meat. I.e. "You could also make this with chicken, fish, etc"

The staff had no understanding of vegan. They didn't even care or understand why I needed to know what the handbags they were selling were made of.
The cafe was clearly affiliated with the restaurant next door "Warung Nia-The best pork ribs in Bali". The staff went between both and you had to pay at the restaurant next door for anything at Kin Cafe.
During the 4-hour cooking class, not one single customer visited the restaurant despite it being open for business
I think it is false advertising to claim to be a Vegan Cafe and a Vegan cooking class when all it is is plant-based.

Pros: Cheap compared to Australia, Food okay, Nice decorations

Cons: Selling animal leather and snakeskin handbags, Chef suggesting you eat meat during cooking class , Staff have no understanding of vegan

Amazing food in a beautiful setting

What a gem! Delicious and fresh food in a clean and beautiful setting. I ordered the Alkaline juice and raw pizza, it was incredible. They replaced the marinara sauce with pesto which I think may have been better.
I cook food like this at home so I was very impressed with the standard, flavours and presentation.

Pros: Lots of vegan, raw and gluten free options

Cons: Order more if you have big appetite , Full menu available not available all the time

Great food, lovely staff, cute decor

Really nice cafe right next to the flea market. As with most places in Bali the staff are lovely, and the decor gives the place kind of a trendy hipster vibe. Nice food, lovely presentation. They also offer a 15% discount if you follow them on Instagram (not sure if this is available to everyone but I got the impression this is the case). My only negative comment is that two of the items we originally wanted were not available that day, which is a shame, but the food we did end up getting (burger, ‘chickn’ vegetable rolls, and nachos) were all tasty, so can’t complain too much. Overall a great experience and I would definitely visit again.

Pros: Great presentation, Nice decor, Lovely staff

Cons: A few items we wanted to order weren’t available

DO IT!

They said ‘the Ganesh Salad Bowl is very popular’ I said ‘argh I don’t like eating salads’ but got one anyway. IT WAS SO GOOD. Eat one if you don’t love eating salads. Highly recommend. Very fresh produce. Balinese owner. Loved it.

Pros: Vegan! , Fresh produce, Price not bad

Loved this restaurant!

Lovely restaurant just off the main road but slightly tucked away with an outside garden so it really didn’t feel like it: great atmosphere! The staff were so sweet right away and throughout our meal, made us feel very comfortable there. The food was amazing! We ordered the “vegan chicken sandwich” and the “Kin Nachos” which we’re both amazing and we were so full! Would recommend this cafe to anyone in the area and we will definitely be visiting again during our stay😄

Pros: Lovely atmosphere , Amazing food, Friendly, happy staff

Cons: Slightly more expensive but worth it

Not much impressed

The cafe has a lovely outside seating area. Unfortunately that's the only actual nice thing I can say about our dinner here.
The price is quite expensive, which wouldn't have been a problem for us, except that the food wasn't especially good and that the portions were also waaaay too small. We were still hungry after eating our main dishes.
There are only 2 deserts on the menu and both are made with honey, so not vegan! We had an Oreo shake which was good though, and the other drinks are quite nice and different from what you find everywhere.
Owners are obviously the same as the omni place next door (waitresses were constantly changing places, and we had to go and pay there). When we arrived they asked us if we were vegans and I suspect they would have tried to send us to the other restaurant, or at least promote it, if we said no.

Pros: Nice and original drinks, Beautiful outside seating area

Cons: Expensive, Honey in all deserts, Very small portions

Came back several times during week in bali!

This place was my favourite- especially because being next to an omni business (and we could all sit together) my friends would agree to come back here with me- which is an experience i never get to have (being able to eat at fully vegan places) 😂 . Its also really cute and pretty, and the staff are all gorgeous and lovely. Rlly sad i didnt get to try everything on the menu before leaving bali but will be back for sure if i ever return haha. My favourite was defs their burgers i think the pattys were made of tempeh or something but boiii they were good♥️🤙

Pros: Fully vegan, but not only ‘health’ food!, Really reasonably priced :), Nexto omni business, u can b served together

Unreasonably expensive, slow service, very small portions

The cafe is very hidden and when we arrived the place was nearly empty. We ordered the raw lasagna and summer rolls with fake chicken. It took forever for the food to be ready. The lasagna was really nice but no one could ever get satisfied by the lasagna only since the portion is waaaaay too small. The summer rolls were ok. The fake chicken was super dry and very thin.. just a Little weird. The peanut sauce which comes with it was good. Note: the water is already 30k and we paid around 250k in total.. and we hadn’t had water. Had to go to another place for more food afterwards. Would not come back.

Late dinner

We came here one evening and the place was completely empty. We ordered food from a large menu and we really liked that everything was vegan. The raw lasagne was really tasty and my partners laksa also very good. It also has a little shop inside selling nice homeware. Would recommend a visit here.

Cooking class was awesome

Went here today for coffee. Ended up staying for lunch and signed up for the afternoon vegan cooking class.
Our group tried the zucchini lasagna 10/10, randang curry 10/10, paella 6/10 and their juices were awesome.
The stuff were extremely helpful and friendly and the cafe had a great vibe.
The cooking class really was awesome, only 3 people so it was really intimate and hands on. Mang De held the class and was full of knowledge and was really passionate about teaching us Indonesian food. It was a great experience, but it is a cafe that I don't think is run by vegans. However this didn't stop me enjoying the experience and I have recipes I will be using at home. And I will try to get back here again before I go home!!

Pros: All vegan food, Cooking class, Answeered all questions

Cons: Not clear what everything on menu was

They need some time to improve.

A rather new vegan restaurant in Seminyak. One of the waiter informed that the restaurant is owned by the same group as the bbq restaurant next door.

As I look at the menu I was a little bit confused. Some of the appetiser are more expensive than the main. I asked the waiter about the paella in the appetiser section how big is the portion and how are they going to serve it. The waiter did not know what the paella was. She said it’s like a soup (?). She later asked the kitchen and came back to explain. Then I ordered the paella anyway. It came out looking good. But the taste not so. I could only taste spicy and not much of anything else.

The drink was okay tho. I ordered the pineapple basil thing.

Pros: Very nice interior, Have a vegan cooking class, Okay drinks

Cons: The menu was confusing, The waiters don’t know the menu well, Expensive

Great food

I was two times there and the food (I had burgers) was always really good. They know how to cook vegan - and they‘re the first vegan restaurant/cafe on Bali that knows what a real hot chocolate is!

I think they don‘t serve milk anymore, my drinks always were with soy milk.

Pros: Most delicious food I found in Bali , Really friendly staff

Need to better understand vegans

The food here was good and it's a nice thing that they give cooking classes (which I didn't take).

However, it seems they're not really used to get vegan customers despite the fact they're a vegan restaurant. The manager informed us that all the food was vegan and when we told him we're vegan he seemed pretty surprised. Then when we ordered the "chicken" sandwich the waitress asked us if we were sure we wanted that one and asked us if we knew that it wasn't real chicken and we also told her we were vegan. They served one of the dishes incorrect but then later gave us the right dish without too much trouble.

The most surprising thing is that when they brought us the bill, it had a card included from the pork restaurant next door with an image of a grilled pork on it. I suspect they're the same owner. I kindly told the waitress that it was really inappropriate to show that card at a vegan restaurant and that as a vegan I really don't want to see such things. She thanked me for my suggestion and hopefully they will stop doing this.

Pros: nice food

Cons: pork restaurant advertisement, need to better understand vegan customers
