great vegan Chicago dog! - Edit

From my experience it is next to impossible to find a vegan version of the Chicago hot dog so I was super excited to try this one.... And it did not disappoint! Very yummy and the staff was super nice and friendly. They do accept credit cards but there is a 3% charge for doing so... Nbd. I would def recommend trying them out!

BEST spot for true Chicago Dog - Edit

The vendors are VERY polite! Meat hot dogs are great, and they have a vegan dog too!! Less than half the price of chicago dogs at other locations, but you can't beat this location and view! Worth the trip from Philly, just for their dogs!!

Pros: tasty, veg-friendly, price

Cons: so far from my home :(

delicious & close to the museums - Edit

This stand is wonderfully located for a quick lunch after looking at the museum/aquarium/planetarium. It was pleasantly surprising to find vegan hot dogs. I had mine with tomato slices, mustard, a pickle, and onions. You have to ask for ketchup.

Pros: cheap, fast, right next to the fields museum

Kim and Carlos Hot Dog Stand - Edit

I found this hot dog stand about a month ago and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have vegan options. Their vegan hot dog is made by Soy Boy and overall it's pretty good. This stand is definitely convenient if you're visiting the museums in the area (Shedd, Planetarium, Field, etc.). As a local, my favorite part is the lake view of the city - I will never get over how impressive it is.

Vegan Chicago style hotdogs! - Edit

There are not lots of vegan options around Museum Campus (Field Museum of Natural History, Shedd Aquarium, and Adler Planetarium), but I love the vegan Chicago style hotdogs at Kim and Carlos Hot Dog stands! Be sure you are at a real Kim and Carlos because the other hot dogs stands around (and there are several) do not offer vegan hotdogs. Be sure to get it with everything!

Pros: Vegan hotdogs, Close to museums, Inexpensive
