Nice - Edit
You have to ask for the vegan menu card. You'll always get a little different menu, even when you order always the same. Seems that there is no standard. But that's fine I think, so it is always a little surprise. But don't worry, it's always been tasty so far.

Restaurant with its own vegan menu - Edit
You should specifically ask for the vegan or vegetarian menu, otherwise you will only get the menu that has almost exclusively animal meals.
Read moreThe various dishes sometimes differ from lunch to dinner. Same dish, but different interpretation by the chef 😅. But they were all always delicious and better than if you were to eat something vegan in the immediate vicinity within walking distance.
Pros: Own vegan and vegararian menu
Cons: You have to specifically ask for the vegan option

Great Resort, close to nature - Edit
We have visited Merlin twice and had a great experience both times. Dinner was lovely. We had no problems with availability on the menu. We tried the vegetable tempura, green curry, red curry and the sweet and sour vegetables. The desserts, we tried the fried banana (ask for substitute for the wild honey) and the dumplings with coconut milk. All delicious. Breakfast buffet was disappointing for vegans though with only salad, fruit and muesli. However if you let the staff know, they will prepare a breakfast feast for you. We had some delicious vegan bread with margarine, fried rice, sweet and sour vegetables and a Thai noodle soup. Soy milk is not on the buffet but ask the staff and they will bring it.
Read moreThe resort is lovely, surrounded by nature. We spotted lots of wildlife on the grounds. Very eco conscious, no plastic bottles, all toiletries are refills, no plastic bin bags either. They have a guided night nature walk where you can spot the slow loris but sadly not on the day we were visiting. Bring a torch if you would like to explore on your own. Would recommend for the experience.

Good food but the vegetarian menu is slimmed down significantly - Edit
Unfortunately, the awesome vegetarian choice from the previous menu is not available at the moment - you have the standard vegetarian fare of curries etc.

Resort restaurant with good vegan options - Edit
This is a nice resort restaurant, overlooking the beach in lush gardens within an eco resort (where four wild slow lorises live!). We stayed at this resort for several days so I had time to explore their vegetarian menu, which is mostly vegan, and found the dishes very good and reasonably priced (80-120 baht generally). Tofu with bean sprouts and soy sauce was my favourite, followed by the green curry with aubergine and tofu.
