too expensive.

One of few restaurants that i didn't enter because prices absurd high. Staff outside the shop was trying to stare me away. I've heard this restaurant has two menu's; one for the local Indian customers with normal prices and another menu with high prices for YOU; the tourist ! LOL.

Pros: Expensive

Not so impressed

On a way to a different restaurant we came across this establishment and decided to give it a try. A small restaurant on a very busy street. Fairly clean and were welcomed and seated quickly.

Were more tired than hungry so quickly ordered a Rawa Masala Dosa and a Pudina (Mint) Masala Dosa. Rawa Masala Dosa is our all time favourite and was looking for something different in the Mint Dosa as we haven’t tried as of yet. Mint is favourite herb as well.

It took a long time for the order to come which was surprising as the restaurant was not busy at all. Any way upon seeing the two dosas and expecting to look different-were the same with the exception of a green line in one of them indicating the mint. The dosa and Rawa Masala Dosa are two separate looking and tasting dosas as they are made from two different batters. They were not. Both were Rawa Dosa Batter.

The Masala (potato and onion mixture) was a disaster-tasted stale. The Sambhar tasted not like Sambhar and chutneys were Ok. The Pudina Dosa had a green line but ZERO mint taste or flavour.

Truly disappointing. They might be good for other North Indian dishes but stay away from South Indian dishes.

Adequate

Slightly above average Indian joint that offers a wide array of Northern and Southern Indian dishes. Breads were the big standout especially the Aloo Paratha. Appetizers were just okay. The Saag Aloo gave us a little extra bathroom time so maybe stay away from that one. This place squeaks by with a C grade

Pros: Tasty bread , Great locale on the main drag, Will accommodate vegans

Cons: Expensive

Good food, expensive and awful service.

There are cheaper places to eat with better food and better service. Unless everywhere else is shut then give it a miss.

Pros: Tasty food , Open late

Cons: Expensive , Staff were very unwelcoming and rude, I was sat under a leaking air conditioning unit

Unwelcoming and Dishonest

Upon entering I felt as though I was not welcome. The only reason why I stayed to eat is because it was late and the other restaurants I wanted to tey were closed already. I ordered a thali set. I asked if it was vegan, no meat and no dairy. I was given a nod, which I perceived as a “yes.” It was such a half-ass nod that I couldn’t really decipher if I was actually being answered that I had to ask 2 or 3 times.

I ordered a thali set and I did not receive all of the food items included in the thali. I asked if I received everything and my server told me, “Oh, the dessert has dairy.” He didn’t offer to replace it with anything. Here’s the thing, the desert wasn’t the only item that was missing! I felt so completely taken advantage of. I didn’t know the names of the items I received on my plate, so I felt uncomfortable complaining about missing more than just dessert. I counted the items though, took a picture of the menu (which included a picture of items included) and it did not add up.

I would avoid this place. My server knows what he did because he sorta felt guilty and didn’t charge me any VAT and even pointed to the receipt to show me how I wasn’t charged any VAT 🙄. The only thing going for this place is that they have a lot of vegan options, but unless you’re confident identifying Indian food, beware that you might get taken advantage of.

Pros: Many vegan options

Cons: Some foods were bland, Unwelcoming Environment, Dishonest

Good food high price

Food was very tasty if you don't mind spending some money. Masala dosa was excellent. Also ordered Chana masala which was also delicious, but to feel satisfied in my case cost me quite a bit to eat here. I gave it a go as it was right near a hotel of mine, but I wouldn't go back just due to the cost factor. The people understood if you emphasized it to be cooked vegan.

Pros: Tasty food, Lots of options

Cons: Expensive

Poor Service and overpriced.

If it wasn't late at night when I arrived at my hotel then I wouldn't have bothered. It charges way over what other restaurant in the area charge and the service was abysmal. Very rude and short with me, especially when asking for vegan options. Forgot to bring part of the order and also forgot my drinks. If you don't make it here you are not missing out. The food was ok, I had a vegan sizzling plate and a samosa, it was spicy and hot but apart from that there was no real flavour.

Great Indian Food

I found the food to be excellent here. I particularly like the South Indian dishes such as the Masala dosa. Some of the curries are over priced, go for the dosa if cost is your issue - 150 baht for a large portion. We ordered all our dishes to be vegan and they had no problem accommodating that. If you like Indian food this place is a great choice.

Pros: Delicious food

Cons: Mandatory service charge added

great masala dosa

I have eaten here many times. Everything they do is very good. They offer pure (south) indian cuisine, made and served by indians, and in many cases also for indians. It is authentic, tastes as it tastes in india if my memory is correct. They also have some experimental dishes like at least 10 versions of masala dosa.
Only critique is the typically indian nonchalant service (i never got used to that) and the automatic 10% service charge which i find annoying and impolite.

Pros: authentic south indian, innovative dosa variations

Cons: 10% automatic service charge

nice food, not cheap

this restaurant is located next to nana skytrain station
on the main road
I personaly hate AC, and places with AC all over Asia tend to freeze you to death, this place has a tiny small terrace outside where you can have your food at normal tempurature, will this be one of the reasons why I love to eat street food?
this is not a cheap restaurant, very high priced if you compare to the thai standards, but ok for a veggie treat once in a while passing thru bkk
the service here is not very fast, again, I don't mind waiting for my food, it means it's been made, not microwaved (Ihope)
the pani puris or golgapas are a bit big for one bite but they taste really good, the best ones I had in Bangkok
the different thalis are good, not great, but good and most of the items of the menu I've tasted were very nice
been going back several times, and defenitly will go back next visit in Bangkok!

Fine restaurant

Khana Khazana is a fine, very easy to find Indian restaurant in a buzzing area of Bangkok. Good food, agreeable staff.
I ordered two tali, payed the bill and gave a tip. The waiter gave me my tip back, which I did not understand. Later I discovered that the tali price was all included. Very honest indeed.
During our short intermittent stays in Bangkok we had three times dinner there.

Pros: good food in great variation, nice staff, decent prices

Cons: no cons

Huge veggie Indian menu

Easy to find on the corner of the street, right near the skytrain station with a HUGE illuminated Vegetarian sign! They have a massive menu of dishes, including some we'd not heard of before.
There is a lot of dairy - particularly in the drinks, though there are juices and teas too. But with so much choice on the menu it's not hard to find something.
The person who served us didn't have great English and one of our starters didn't come.
But the food we had was tasty and the portions were filling. We tried a channa yam starter, regular dosa and one with mint and onion in the dosa.
Pleasant atmosphere with a diverse mix of diners including local Indian families, good air-con and windows onto a busy corner of the street if you like watching traffic and people go by.
At about 700 BHT for 2 (including drinks) it isn't cheap by Thai standards but similar to the similar places in the area and we actually preferred it to Dosa King.

Pros: Massive range of interesting food, Good flavours, Atmosphere

Cons: Could mark vegan dishes on menu, Forgot a dish we ordered

A bite of India

Wide choice of Indian food. Great taste, they know how to use the ingredients. A bit expensive for Thai standards, but still ok. I always have the impression they didn't turn on half the lights in the place, sometimes a bit dark. Adds to the atmosphere, I guess. After all, you are there to eat, not to live. And eat I did, a lot, very tasty, and just the right amount of spicyness.
Located right at a BTS station, so easy to reach, no traffic problems.

Pros: Extensive menu, Location

Irresistibly scrumptious

I'm a vegan and usually don't eat dairy produce.
But sometimes want to eat rich and strong taste food like Indian food.
Khana Khazana has a great variation of food and you can simply ask staffs what fits your taste or condition.
You will be impressed with variety of Indian tradition and want to have meal here again!

Pros: Delicious , Various
