Was delicious - Edit
It was honestly delicious. Had the ragu one. However you literally find only varieties of the same food in the city, hardly fresh food and i got a bit tired of the limited options.

Good vegan aranchine! - Edit
Everything is labelled. I had the mushroom one it was really good. Some flavors were missing so you have to try your luck, I think they make them fresh.

It opened at 10am, we got there at 10.10 they were just bringing out the mushroom arancine. All their labels were clear for vegetarian/vegan and the service was friendly.

Really Good - Edit
So good to find arancine that are vegan. Tried the verdure and funghi ones, both were great (other one ragu sold out). They are large and very filling, so great value too. Alas, no sweet ones - hopefully in time they shall be introduced.

Great vegan arancine - Edit
Vegan options available deserve five stars. The baked arancine with mushrooms was so fresh and light i wanted to eat two one by one. Fried one with mixed veg ragù was amazing too. Very good and very Sicilian! There are few locations around Palermo so just Google them if you are peckish

Good for vegans! - Edit
I have timidly entered kepalle to ask if, just in case, they had some vegan arancine. The nice girl at the counter told me: "of course we have vegan arancine, in four different flavours!"
Read moreRagu' di verdure, ragu' di soya, mushrooms, spinach and pine nuts.
They are just to die for!!!!
Don't miss out on this traditional Sicilian dish because you are vegan, just go to Kepalle.
They also serve panelle (another traditional Sicilian dish) which is, by default, vegan.
Have fun!
Pros: Very central, Inexpensive, Traditional Sicilian dishes
Cons: No sitting, It can be busy
