A fun night with good vegan options

almostvegan_london on Instagram. No ads unpaid purchased myself my own options.

Mezze 8/10
Moussaka 9/10

Dancing 10/10

Kenza is a luxurious, dark and cosy Lebanese/middle Eastern restaurant near Liverpool Street station. It's a bit awkward to find. A little expensive, but if you time it right then there is a short belly dancing show on a Saturday night and a ridiculously good DJ until 1am with a dancefloor area and that is absorbed into the food prices which makes it fair. Tough lighting for photos!

The vegetarian feast which we asked to have as vegan was £36.95 per person (min 2 people). Strange that it costs the same as the chicken option. Cocktail £11.95 and service.

Mezze: Hummus was really creamy. Baba ganoush was smooth and smokey. Tabbouleh isn't really my thing but I did taste it and honestly it was very fresh. Two big falafel with tahini. A mildly spiced red pepper and nuts dip that I think was muhammara. One piece of fluffy bread. The starters were good, I was almost full then realised there was another course!

The vegan moussaka was aubergine on rice with vermicelli. It was full of flavour and the aubergine was so well cooked it just fell apart and was very smooth. I really enjoyed this!

The baklava are not vegan but the Turkish delight were and they were very nice. I preferred the yellow tropical flavour ones to the red rose ones.

The Bahr lychee vanilla cocktail was great, very strong and sweet. Standard London prices. I loved it!

To finish a lebanese mint tea which was a nice way to end the meal.

I highly recommend going here for a special occasion!

Directions- when you think you are outside according to Google maps, you aren't. Go through the entrance that is on the path behind the metal horse sculpture. Walk straight until you see the sign for kenza. Turn right to follow the long white passageway to the entrance. No parking around here. Allergy menu online.

Pros: Vegan options, Good food, Dj late at night and belly dancing

Cons: Awkward to find, Not only vegan
