Good buddhist restaurant - Edit
It was so nice to walk into this place amidst all the tourists and trashy commerce around this temple and find a small haven. It was completely empty and they only had one set menu, which didn't bother us at all and we gladly took it. The set consisted of different veggies, rice, sauce and soup and everything had the perfect amount of spice added. The food was good and plenty, everything was clean and the price was not high at all. Couldn't have asked for a better place for a lunch break!

Not pricey, just tasty - Edit
Someone reviewed this place as pricey and so we were hesitant to try it. But then with the heat on a sunny afternoon we decided to go in anyway. The place was well decorated and kept clean. Turned out to be very good food and good value for money. For an air-conditioned restaurant the prices could be considered as inexpensive.
Chat with one of the waiter. Apparently the restaurant is not a business but run by the temple. So we felt good having such a good feed and at the same time making some contribution to the temple.
Pros: air conditioning, good food, friendly staff

Saw the temple and enjoyed a fine lunch - Edit
I had been looking forward to visiting this temple and it did not disappoint -lots to see. The restaurant is as you are entering the bottom part of the temple (sort of) and is easy to find. We had lunch there around 2:00 pm so we really were the only customers and it is a very large restaurant. We ordered three small dishes from a menu that offered a great deal of choice. The food was nicely spiced and certainly was enough for the two of us. The staff was attentive and efficient.
Pros: Good tasting vegan food, Interesting atmosphere

Great place at Kek Lok Si Temple! - Edit
A great place at Kek Lok Si, perfect if you are visiting the temple and need to grab some yummy food!
The menu is very large with lots of Chinese options using faux meat. This place is one of the more unique vegetarian restaurants on the island and worth a visit. However, prices are a bit high.
Pros: has AC, lots of choices, friendly staff
Cons: price
