Friendly Staff, Nice Ambience, Decent Food

Very friendly staff who all seemed very clued in on vegan options and were able to identify those on the menu as well as offer some alternatives that could be done. Tasty food and reasonable portion sizes.

Found food to be quite bland

Visited based on the reviews online. I tried the hummus and stuffed vine leaves for starters. For mains we had the stuffed peppers and tomatoes, and a pasta dish. Both were pretty meh.

The staff also seemed pretty miserable.
Wouldn't visit again.

Pros: Menu clearly identified veggie options, Lovely restaurant inside, Cats!

Cons: Food was bland, Staff were miserable

Location is wrong - needs update

It's not where it supposed to be. Needs to be updated, when you look for Kefalos on Google, it's completely somewhere else I'm not even sure if it is the same restaurant.

Traditional Taverna with Great Service

We were recommended to visit by a friend, which was backed up by Those Vegan Guys.

It is a traditional taverna serving the usual Greek dishes, some of which are vegan anyway and others staff were happy to veganise. The staff all understood what a vegan is and were very accommodating. It was quite early so we had a selection of starters served tapas style. The fried courgettes may sound plain but they were gorgeous! And the thyme and garlic mushrooms in white wine are a must.

We found Kefalonia as a whole was very vegetarian friendly, but many places were unclear as to what a vegan is, so it was lovely to find somewhere that understood and were so friendly and accommodating. The food was lovely and we'd go back if we were to visit the island again.

Pros: Great staff, Lots of accidentally vegan dishes , Very reasonably priced

Cons: Vegan options are not labelled , On the main road so fuel smells can be offputting
