We were in Hvar for 3 days. We went by at least 5 times. On the 2nd day, they were there but not open for an hour, even though people were eating outside. I asked about vegan and they showed me the menu. It looked absolutely amazing. I said we would come back for dinner and they told me see you then. They were closed for the day by 4pm. I went back the last day for lunch and they were open. I wanted to order but they were rude to me about asking questions of how long it would take since we had a ferry to catch. When I was finally able to order, they said, “no seitan, only meat, we’re closed.” Unreal. The entire menu has vegan on it. Vegan cheese, etc. But they never said they were out of seitan when I asked prior. Bummed I couldn’t try it. Waste of time. Very rude staff.

I had a smoked tofu sandwich and it was so big I could only manage half of it! But it was delicious and good value compared to other places in Hvar. It was 26th September and the owner said they were closing that week. I assumed he meant for the season, rather than forever. A few of the vegan places in Hvar had smoked tofu options, and I bought it from the supermarket too (due to limited choice in supermarkets) so I was a bit sick of it by the end of the week! So it’s a shame Kebab Factory have stopped doing the seitan.

Best vegan food we’ve had in Croatia - Edit
The vegan kebab was really good. It was on the menu as seitan but the guy told us it had been updated to be smoked tofu which we really liked. Worth noting that it is eat in only as we’d hoped to take it away to eat by the beach however the outside tables are nice. Reasonably priced as the portions are big.

Great range of vegan options. Delicious kebab either served in a roll or wrap. 4 different loaded fries options that are vegan. Friendly staff cool spot.

Went there twice, first time they sent us away saying that it will be 1 hour wait for vegan kebab (or any for that matter) even to take away. We came back two days later to be told it's 30 min wait for any food (7pm and the place was empty) and that they run out of seitan. They offered sandwich with just vegetables, for the same price as the kebab. No, just no.

Delicious food, some of the best vegan food Iv ever tasted. Every element of the kebab was perfect. We arrived too late for the seitan, however they replaced it with sweet potato. Delicious salad, grilled veg, pickled veg. A wide variety of sauces to choose from. Excellent value for money. Don’t miss it!

Honestly, the fact that this place has just one review is a crime. Probably the best place we visited on our holyday. Everything on the menu can be veganized, or has a vegan variant. Great staff, the food is cheap and really really good. Dont miss this place, just because its not fully vegan!
