Cretan tourist restaurant with plenty of plant focussed dishes - Edit

I was struggling to find a restaurant in Heraklion that would suit my family- wanted a nice sit down restaurant with good vegan and omni options. I saw this on HappyCow and booked a table. It is a very typical tourist restaurant on the front of the Heraklion waterfront. The menu doesn’t label vegan options but there are lots of options that staff can point out/ adapt, the staff were lovely and very eager to please.

For starters we shared fava with pitta, a delicious mixed bean salad, zucchini fries and fried aubergine which I was assured was all vegan. Everyone was impressed.

For my main I had a flower risotto which was very tasty.

With the bill we were given ouzo and watermelon which is par for the course.

Pros: Helpful staff , Delicious food which lots of vegan options , Inexpensive

Cons: Vegan options not labelled on menu , One side of the restaurant is a busy road
