Best Keralan food in Warwickshire! - Edit
I love absolutely everything about Kayal. I have only visited the Leamington branch and am yet to visit their restaurant in Leicester. Kayal is truly my go to restaurant whenever I feel like a takeaway. The vegan options 'from the garden' are INCREDIBLE (my favourite is the Kathrika curry) and they also have many options for gluten free (means no missing out on their amazing mixture of homemade breads)!!

I honestly get SO excited everytime I visit.

Banana fritters are vegan if you ask - Edit
The starter was a little bland but very nice, the main also nice but too spicy for me and the dessert was great! I asked what their vegan dessert options were and the lovely waiter said that the banana fritters were vegan and could be served with vegan ice cream and chocolate sauce! Best part of the meal I think.

Delicious vegan options and best poppadoms - Edit
Had a wonderful dinner here this evening. The poppadoms and pickles were the best I’ve had. Plenty of clearly labelled vegan options which I don’t regularly see at Indian restaurants; but this place has a unique cuisine from the south of India, and the dishes felt new and creative to me (though, arguably, probably because I’d never had food from this region before. I ate a masala dosa (large stuffed pancake) and it was absolutely fantastic! Will be there again.
Read morePros: Lots of clearly labelled vegan options, Unique dishes... not classic Indian cuisine, Great prices
Cons: Could only be better if all options were vegan ;)

The best Keralan food I've had outside of Kerala - Edit
I fell in love with Keralan cuisine in India and I can confirm that this restaurant serves authentic Keralan food. Kayal became our go to place, we visit on regular basis and the food is always top notch.
Read moreIt's a restaurant that serves meat, so the vegan selection isn't massive like in a fully vegan establishment. However, there are 5-6 dishes to choose from, which we consider more than enough to satisfy our needs. The vegan options aren't clearly labelled, you need to inform the staff.
Our favourite dishes are Masala Dosa, vegetable stew (the only vegan option that isn't spicy), vegetable Kuruma and spicy potatoes. The portions are huge.
Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Fast service
Cons: Vegan options aren't clearly labelled
