Breakfast with a view - Edit
Nice spot overlooking the river with views of the Tokyo Skytree. I had the Falafel Buddha Bowl set which came with a small soup and tea. Portion could’ve been bigger for the price and there was barely any falafel, but the taste was pretty good. Also, seems like they serve meat and fish.

bright and comfortable cafe by the river near Asakusa - Edit
Kawa Kitchen is a new sustainable cafe designed by the famous architect Kengo Kuma, located in Kuramae near Asakusa.
Read moreThere is a shop downstairs and a cafe upstairs.
The cafe is full of light and it is a very comfortable space to be in.
You can even enjoy the view of the Sumida River and Skytree tower from the windows.
Most of the dishes are vegan (Minestrone Soup is the only exception so far) and gluten-free, and all clearly labelled as vegan in English.
We had Falafel Buddha Salad, Rice Flour Open Sandwich with Seasonal Vegetables and Soy Miso Cheese, Matcha and Kumquat (=kinkan/Japanese sweet citrus fruit) Plate Parfait, and Strawberry and Sake Lees Cream Dorayaki (=rice flour pancakes with red bean paste and soy milk cream), which were all beautiful, fresh and tasty, but a little pricey considering the size.
If you want to try their Hand Rolled Sushi Set (3300 yen), you need to reserve two days in advance.
