Was really great to eat vegan food! The whole menu is vegan except the pizza and the shakes. But shakes can also be made with coconut

Huge menu! - Edit
We really enjoyed our food here! There was an incredible amount of choice on the menu. My noodles were perfect, my partner had larb which was delicious though portion was a little small! Smoothies were average, a little watery. We were asked if we wanted milk & sugar added to them. All very reasonably priced

Best Vegan food in Vang Vieng. - Edit
This place is now called H&H. It is a must visit for vegans / vegetarians in Vang Vieng. We ate here every day over a week long stay; trying new things every day and everything is vegan barring a handful of things on the extensive menu (they are vegetarian). The lady who owns it has been vegan 14 years and is super kind. So cheap and tasty. I would recommend the tofu fried or mushroom sticks as a personal favourite. SUPPORT THE OWNER SHE IS A QUEEN. Ignore reviews saying the wait time is long we never waited longer than 20 mins and if it is longer remember it is just this lady and her husband making everything.

New Name, tasty food - Edit
The restaurant has the name H&H now, thats how you find it on google maps. Ordered 2x Stir fried noodles. Wait time was 17 minutes and no one was before us in the line. Noodles were tasty.

Tasty food - Edit
The food is tasty. But you have to wait super long for it to be prepared. Also the restaurant and the bathroom are quite dirty.

Food mislabelled as vegan - Edit
Restaurant mislabelled as vegan - be careful. They have yoghurt with cows milk, and also use milk powder made from cows milk. Real shame as otherwise it’s a nice/quaint/authentic experience

Friendly owners who make great food - Edit
The owners were lovely and very clearly showed us which items were vegan vs vegetarian. Highly recommend the tempeh salad and mushroom skewers. The burgers were good but small so be sure to order more dishes if you’re hungry

Love this place so much! - Edit
I sit in this restaurant every day for ten days, every day I choose a different dish, and every day I am amazed by the freshness, the flavors and the attitude. The chef has hands of gold. In addition to the fact that she treats you like a family member (she also insisted on giving me some of the food she prepared for herself so that I could taste another excellent dish). The prices are cheap and fair, the food is very satisfying and everything is done professionally and warmly. There are also great smoothies here, and of course Buddhist cuisine, meaning only vegetarian-vegan cuisine. The chef is flexible and changes the dishes according to the diner's request. Highly recommended!

Decent food, very fair prices - Edit
It’s nice to support a more local and family run restaurant.
Read moreWe’ve eaten here about six times and the noodle soup was good, red curry and yellow noodles with tofu.
Very limited English from different family members, so not 100% what milk is used for the smoothies (in the fridge I saw soy milk, but couldn’t check ingredients to see if it’s a blend, and there’s also cow yoghurt). The homemade lemonade was reliable and very nice (without sugar).
No nice views of the river, but nice and quiet and reliable.
Would eat here again.

I had tastier vegetarian meals in Vang Vien in nicer surroundings but it's good to support someone offering a vegetarian only restaurant

Definitely not all vegan - Edit
I enquired about the smoothie to make sure it didn't have any dairy in it and she reassured me it was just coconut milk. She then showed me the coconut milk packet and it had dairy in it 🙃

Necesita mejorar - Edit
La comida no era como en la foto, no era un guiso, era recalentado con salsa agridulce. Hace un calor infernal dentro del local. La comida no está mal pero no era lo que imaginé por las fotos.

Not the best food, but decent vegan option - Edit
Went here multiple times during our stay. First had two varieties of fried rice which were not very tasty - very weird, soft and gooey texture. Kinda slimey.
Read moreThen had some baguettes/sandwiches which were..... okay. Again, very chewy bread, tasted old, wasn't crispy, very plain filling. But it was okay.
I also tried the green curry which was very plain boring. Boring vegetables, no coconut milk (I think it was empty), watery. My fiancé had the tofu with sauce on top. I think it was just ketchup.
Not necessarily something you gotta try out, but a reliable vegan option in town.

Ok prices, decent enough food - Edit
The food here was overall decent enough - we particularly liked the coconut noodle soup and curry tofu and tofu with sauce. However the pad Thai was not good at all, was covered in a sweet and sour sticky sauce so it was nothing like pad Thai as at least I know it! Staff are friendly, and the smoothie was good too.

I tried 2 dishes. Taste is artificial and they charge extra 1$ for plain rice. Nothing special but at least you have vegan option in a very small town.

Hit or miss dishes (we think) - Edit
We found non-alcoholic beers here! Something we'd been hunting for for ages. After reading the reviews, we expect we might not have ordered the best things.
Read moreWe had the fried rice with tofu which was heavy on the oil and low on the tofu. And the lao sandwich which was really good although a bit heavy on the ketchup.
It's a lovely place and one of only 2 vegan spots. The food comes out super fast too.

Tasty - Edit
Nice little vegan place on the main road in town. Menu is all vegan and offering predominantly traditional Lao dishes with a couple western choices. Tasty and inexpensive. Comes up as “Vegan Food” on Google, but it’s the same place. #Veganuary
