They don't promote the menu as vegan because they fear to discourage people who haven't thought of eating vegan yet. Open Wed-Fri 12:30-17:30, Sat-Sun 13:00-18:00.

Ich war schon mehrfach dort und ich kann den Kuchen einfach nur empfehlen. Die Kuchen (und Torten) ändern sich immer mal wieder. Die Tomatensuppe ist top und der Kakao auch!

Delicious cake, coffee specialities and ice cream. A lot of choice, which is hard to find in Bielefeld. The cats are adorable! The place is a bit uncomfortable with tiled floor and simple wooden chairs.

Probably the best place in Bielefeld and the only one that is fully vegan. It’s a cafe with several options for food/lunch. You need a reservation- the place is small.
Read moreThe cakes are proper cakes- not the healthy dates-based raw glutenfree cakes you find in most vegan places. But old-school cakes with cream and sugar and flour. I had the tomato soup : delicious. And definitely get the bread- homemade and super tasty.
The cats are amazing. We saw 5 of them, super friendly and didn’t mind the petting.
Note: i am allergic to cats and i was perfectly fine in the place. It is super clean.

Es gab eine sehr gute Auswahl an veganem Kuchen und kleinen herzhaften Speisen. Ein weiterer Vorteil, dass die Milchgetränke anstatt mit Sojamilch auch mit Hafermilch bestellt werden können. Allerdings nur gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis. Alles in Allem ist es ein gemütliches Café für einen Sonntagnachmittag.

Very comfy café with adorable rescue cats - Edit
This is how every cat café should be like. The cats are all rescues and aren't being treated like furniture or mere entertainment. This is their environment, which is reflected by the multiple climbing and scratching options, as well as the understandable lack of music. You can play with them and, for a little extra money, buy them snacks (which they go crazy for). The staff is very friendly and obviously has a great deal of experience with cats.
Read moreThe food and drinks are all 100% vegan. A highlight would probably be the ever changing variety of cakes. I haven't yet tried one I didn't enjoy. If you order hot chocolate, make sure to opt for the whipped cream (it's amazing)!
It's also a good idea to reserve a table at least an hour in advance, as the café is quite popular.

Das einzig unschöne ist Corona geschuldet, da überall sehr große Trennwände sind. Diese hindern die Katzrn auch ein wenig zu einem zu kommen. Ich denke, sobald die wieder weg sind, ist es eine äußerst angenehme & gemütliche Atmosphäre.

Everything is completely vegan. That fits with the animal welfare idea!
Overall the cafe is very neat and exemplary. Even the restrooms are lovingly decorated.
The best are of course the kitties.
Tip: The Miezhaus is located directly on a main road, but around the corner is a parking garage.
We will be happy to come back!

Das Katzencafé Miezhaus ist genau das Richtige, wenn man nach einem süßen, gemütlich eingerichteten Café sucht. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, besonders die hausgemachten Torten (allerdings sind diese leider sehr süß, fast schon zu süß für meinen Geschmack).

The cake here is really delicious. I had a cherry cake, which tastes like "Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte", only better. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff is friendly. And of course there are cats all around. So the Katzencafe Miezhaus is really a recommendation, if you like cats. If you don't like it, that a cat is playing with your long hair, while you eat your cake, which i don't like, you have a hard decission to make, cause the cake is really so delicious.
