Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant offering a five-course vegan set menu. Open Mon-Thu 5:00pm-9:30pm, Fri-Sat 5:00pm-10:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-2:00pm, 5:00pm-9:30pm.
They have a separate plant based vegan tasting menu - 6 course meal. That is the only option. It is very pricey, not great tasting and disappointing. One of my courses had half an avo which was raw. If you are a fancy fine dining restaurant, the least you can do is ensure the avocado is ripe. The main was a portobello served with mashed potatoes and rice. Incredibly tasteless and underwhelming.
I had the 5 course vegan menu. The entré (3 of the dishes) was excellent.
Very tasty, but fairly small dishes (as expected from en entré)
The main dish was a disappointment. It was a big blob of mashed potatoes with a single not very large Portabello mushroom on top, and half a small cooked zucchini with risotto ontop. It was 90% rice and mashed potatoes. Everything was well cooked and seasoned, but again: it was mostly just rice and mashed potatoes.
The desert was a "cocunt and lime cake with cream". It was just some coconut flakes mixed with a thick lime cream, and quite a lot of very bland and boring vegan whipped cream on top (covering everything). It was alright, but really nothing to get excited about.
The food was really not up to the standard of fine dining. But certainly not a disaster by any means. I would have preferred the vegan burger I had at Café Frida in Klaksvik yesterday for a main dish.
The wine was fairly good. Nothing super exciting, but certainly above average, and worthy of fine dining. Several wines not listed as being available by the glass where still available, sine they had opened bottles of them. So if you want try a glass of one of the wines ask for it, rather then just go with what the menu says is available.
The waiters were quite alright as well, courteous and informative, and open and chatty (if you ask things). And the overall atmosphere was also quite cozy and nice. Very much what you would expect from fine dining. If only the food lived up to the wine and atmosphere I would have been quite happy.
