Thai
Take-out
Non-veg
Serves meat, vegan options available. Off Interstate 59, this is one of the only places that makes veg food. Small, family-run Thai food restaurant. Uses fresh vegetables and could request tofu instead of meat in some of the main dishes. Open Tue-Thu 11:00am-2:30pm, 4:30pm-9:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:00am-9:30pm, Sun 11:00am-8:00pm.

My favorite thai restaurant - Edit
I’ve worked here and I used to eat the food all the time and I still do sometimes. It is seriously the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I could eat it everyday and the owners are so sweet!

The best Thai around! - Edit
Kati Thai Cuisine is my GO TO when in the area… who am I kidding.. If I’m craving Kati’s I will gladly make the 1 hr drive! IT IS SO WORTH IT!! The food will send your taste buds into a Thai heaven (if there was such a thing). I ordered their fried vegetable rolls as an appetizer- not pictured sorry I was hungry & forgot 😅. It comes in 3 and are pretty tiny in my opinion but nonetheless, scrumptious! For my entree, I ordered their pineapple fried rice which is cooked with tofu, cashews, carrots, raisins, onions, bell peppers, and pineapples…. LET ME TELL YOU!! It’s hands down their best dish available! It’s a MUST ORDER!! You will not regret it, 100/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

So good - Edit
This is my favorite take out place. I love that they have a separate vegan menu with plenty of options. I have yet to try everything but what I have had has been VERY yummy. It’s a little expensive but worth the price to me. I can’t wait to order from here again.

Food’s pretty good - Edit
The spring rolls was superb. The food was priced good, but it’s the only place that has vegan options around Gadsden. I will definitely go back.

The spring rolls were delicious! - Edit
The place is located across from the waterfall park. It is next to Physician's Apothecary. It is a small place but not crowded. The waitress was great. There is a separate vegan menu. I had the fried spring rolls. They were delicious. I had the broccoli and mushroom rice dish. It was good too.

Best vegan option in Gadsden! - Edit
The atmosphere is very nice. Not junky or run down at all, very fresh and lovely. The food is very good. The spring rolls are fresh, you can tell. The veggies are fresh and crisp! Definitely recommend.

separate vegan menu - Edit
Took a trip to Gadsden to go to Back Forty Brewery and the waterfall and was pleasantly surprised to find this place. They have a separate vegan menu with several options. We tried the spring rolls, pad Thai and drunken noodles. Everything was delicious! It was also affordable - under $30 for two entrees and an appetizer. I definitely recommend it if you find yourself in the area.

Great vegan options! - Edit
My husband and I had a wonderful meal here. They have a dedicated vegan menu. I had Pad Thai Jar and the spring rolls. Both were very good. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes!

Delicious vegan food - Edit
My family and I stopped here on our way home to Kentucky from Destin, Florida. It was a bit off the beaten path but we'll worth stopping. The restaurant has a vegan menu which has several options. I had the spring rolls and pad Thai. They were both fresh, hot, and delicious. The service was also excellent. My omnivore family who have had no previous experience with Thai food really liked their meals, as well. All in all, I was really pleased. This was the best meal I had while on vacation.

Fantastic! - Edit
Frankly, I didn’t know what to expect when I walked through the door, because the only Thai food I ever tried was once upon a time at one of those generic Asian-style buffet restaurants. But I wasn’t just pleasantly surprised on my visit to Kati Thai Cuisine in Gadsden. I was amazed at how good it is.
Read moreKati is off the beaten path so it truly is a hidden gem, tucked away just off Noccalula Road at 102 Eble Street, about three miles east of Exit 188 on Interstate 59. Once you’ve been there, it’s a given that you’ll be back.
I started with an appetizer of Spring Rolls with sweet and sour sauce. Although you can get spring rolls at a lot of restaurants, what made these special is that they were hand rolled in-house as opposed to the frozen, packaged variety. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and chock-full of steamy veggies on the inside. For my main course, I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice, and they didn’t flinch when I asked for it vegan-style with tofu. I opted for the sweet rice (made with coconut milk) for dessert, just because it sounded so intriguing. And yes, like everything else I tasted at Kati Thai Cuisine, it was a delicious discovery.
You can definitely taste the love in this food, and you’d expect to pay more for such high quality and personal attention to detail. But Kati is inexpensive, with $4-7 appetizers and $7-12 entrees. They welcome take out orders and prepare large party trays for catering. Just call (256) 467-4221 in advance. Although they don’t serve alcohol, customers are welcome to bring their own wine or beer and Kati will provide the glasses and ice.
Kati’s business hours are 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30-9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Be aware that they are closed on Mondays, because you don't want to be disappointed when your new cravings for Kati Thai Cuisine kick in.
And trust me, they will.
Pros: Delicious food, Friendly, family-owned, Large portions, low prices
