Vegan oasis - Edit
The perfect reward for yourself after the hike to Oia. We loved everything we ordered: coffee, juice, pulled pork, bruschetta, and buttery potatoes. For a lunch in June, it was sunny and warm with a gentle breeze — great weather, a full ocean view, and perfect food.

I'd eat here every night if I could - Edit
We loved everything about this place, from the setting, to the people, to the food, my goodness, the food. I went with my boyfriend, who is decidedly not vegan, and he loved it as much as I did. We ordered the Katharos salad, the herbed baked feta, and the phyllo roll, and as soon as we took one bite of the phyllo roll, we ordered another, and made a reservation to come back the next night. On our second night, we got the strawberry salad, eggplant rolls, and the pulled "pork" sliders. The feta was too salty for my tastes, but it was still good, and everything else was absolutely delicious. Did I mention the phyllo roll? Heaven. The place is beautiful, especially at sunset (they even give you blankets if you're chilly!), and the service was exceedingly warm and friendly. My only regret is that I don't live close enough to eat at Katharos regularly.

So many options! - Edit
It was great to find a vegan restaurant in Santorini. There are so many options, we had trouble choosing! The location is a bit of a walk out of Oia but most people seemed to be driving and we didn’t mind the walk. It is right by the sea and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Good food - Edit
It was really hard to find—google maps kept leading us places and this restaurant is tucked around a little corner on the rocks, so definitely off the beaten track, but once we got there it was so worth it! The food was so delicious. I recommend the bake feta, and the Katharos salad. The view to see the sunset is gorgeous too. Get reservations so you can get a good seat in front of the sunset.

Very good vegan restaurant. - Edit
The food was amazingly tasty, made from scratch, served by a very nice waiter. We sat outside so it was a bit windy as the restaurant is located in a cliff but the view is gorgeous. In the of end of the meal we were offered their ‘sex at the beach’ cocktail version for us to try. It is the only vegan restaurant in Santorini so it is worth the visit.

Amazing vegan food! - Edit
After the long hike from Thira to Oia we came here for some food. We ordered the mini burgers (you must try these they are amazing), hummus, salad, zucchini rolls and gnocchi, it was all amazing and very tasty, its meze style but we were very hungry and managed to eat it all, the portion are bigger than normal meze. The staff were very friendly and helpful with picking out some options. Please not that all seating is outside and it was very windy and cold when we ate at around 7pm, they do have blankets on offer to keep you warm which was a nice touch. Awesome view of the beach and sunset, it is located out of the main town tucked away down right by the beach but its 100% worth it to travel down and try this amazing food, they have a car park if driving.

Ok if you’re spending some time outside Oia - Edit
I had a quick lunch here whilst visiting Oia. It’s a nice vegetarian and vegan lounge. I had really tasty mini burgers with mushroom, onions, coleslaw and kale. It was a bit early so it was rather quiet, bit the atmosphere was ok. Very nice view of the ocean, but a bit far from the town, so if you’re not planning on spending some time at the beach, I don’t think it’s worthy going all the way to the lounge.

YES PLEASE!!! - Edit
This place is amazingly good! We got the baked feta, cauliflower steak, mushroom bruschetta and the spinach cheese filo roll, all were delicious! My favorite was the baked feta, mmmmmmmm SO GOOD. My partner can’t even choose a favorite because he loved them all. The one thing we got that wasn’t as exceptional was the chocolate mousse dessert. It’s made with avocado and tasted like it. The atmosphere is chill during the day and the sound of the beach waves below make it a nice retreat from the chaotic masses in Oia. Service was also excellent. Very laid back and friendly staff. Love this place! Going back later for dinner.

The best food we’ve eaten at a restaurant since being vegan. A good number of vegan options and the super helpful staff can adapt a lot of the vegetarian dishes to make them vegan. The vegan feta is unbelievable. The terrace has an amazing view of the sunset which topped off a perfect meal out!

Probably the best veggie/vegan place in Santorini. First of all, the location on happy cow is wrong, see my photo for exact location or type it in google maps. The food is great, very tasty and well presented, mostly vegan or can be made vegan. Highly recommend a vegan feta.

Awesome veggie food - Edit
Despite being walking distance to where I was staying, I only found this place on my last day. The owner was super friendly and she told us that pretty much any dish could be veganised if it was vegetarian.
Read moreMy friend and I shared some Meze dishes and they were all really delicious. I highly recommend the baked herbed vegan feta. This was the highlight for me.
I was heading back to Athens on the ferry the next day and ordered the couscous salad to go. This kept well overnight and was very tasty and filling the next day.
If you're in Santorini go here. The food and the views are amazing.

An Oasis in Oia - Edit
We were overjoyed to find Katharos Lounge on our last day in Oia. They recently updated their menu to include an array of vegetarian and vegan dishes, including the most incredible vegan feta I've ever tasted. Before I get to the food, let me start by saying the vibe here is super chill, relaxing, and comforting. There's a long outdoor covered seating area that faces the beach where the sun sets each night, as well as a cafe room on the inside. We made reservations (recommended for sunset views) and were promptly seated on the beach side benches with pillows to relax on. The DJ arrived -- who we soon learned is also one half of the couple that owns the place -- and laid down smooth R&B beats.
Read moreWe ordered sparkling water and a fresh ginger lemon juice which we turned into a refreshing mocktail. They serve these in mason mugs with ice and cute straws. Great start. Now the food...
After almost 5-days in Oia we were overwhelmed with the tasty sounding choices for vegans! If you're not vegan/vegetarian, however, I think you will still find the food satisfying. This is not "rabbit food." :) They offer a wide array of inventive salads, mezzes, burgers, dips, bakes, spreads, grains and more -- all interesting takes on local cuisine with a stylish touch. We had the smokey mushroom sliders, guacamole w/chips, a salad, and the couscous. Each dish was incredibly flavorful, beautifully presented, fresh and satisfying. The portions are perfect for sharing. We liked the food so much, we ordered two more salads to-go so we could enjoy their food again on our ferry.
Before leaving I approached the DJ and complemented his choice selections and learned that he and his wife are the owners. They had only recently updated some of the listings to indicate that they feature plant-based food and were moving more that direction. I can't thank the owners enough...this was one of the most memorable meals and relaxing experiences watching the sunset on the entire island.
Pros: Plethora of Delicious Vegan Food Options!, Ambiance, Chill Vibe
Cons: Smoking is allowed, as most places in Greece
