Best vegan experience in Utrecht - Edit
Probably the best vegan experience I have had in Utrecht so far. Every dish was perfectly balanced and paired to perfection by their homemade kombucha.

Menu was:
- Buckwheat blinis with carrot tartar (fermented with Koji) and sour cream
- Green and white asparagus, Dutch beans, almond cream, asparagus bouillon, young potatoes, foraged pesto
- Amadeus sourdough
- Caesar salad
- Rhubarb sorbet, rosemary crumble, white chocolate, elderflower mousse
And the kombucha pairings were, in order: blueberry-juniper berry sencha; apple-rosemary daarjeeling; mandarin-fennel.

Er is geen menukaart maar het menu (dat elke maand wisselt) is zo divers en bijzonder dat je die ook niet mist.

Waarom het zo lang heeft moeten duren weet ik niet, maar ik heb gisteren pas voor het eerst bij Kasvio gegeten. En het was werkelijk fantastisch: de locatie, de bediening, maar bovenal het eten. Ik weet niet of het mogelijk is om a la carte te eten, maar wij hebben in ieder geval het menu genoten. Heerlijke smaken, mooie combinaties, echt genieten!

Hmmm. Ik hoef hier niet veel over te zeggen, behalve dat ik je aanraad te gaan en de tijd te nemen. Wij namen het 7 gangen diner met het kombucha arrangement, welke er heel goed bij paste. Deze lijkt speciaal voor bij het eten niet te zuur gebrouwen.

Het eten, of het nou de lunch of diner is, vind ik bijzonder lekker. Gisteravond hebben wij het herfstmenu gegeten en het was fantastisch. Mijn man dronk de wijn pairing en ik de kombucha pairing; beiden waren wij heel tevreden. Vooral de kombucha met biet en zoethout vond ik super lekker.

It's not in the city so you have to make a little effort to get there. But it is worth it. Fine vegan dining in an amazingly beautiful location. There is 1 menu that changes every season. Rarely eaten vegan so well.

The dining experience and food here were so special. Each dish was so creative and bursting with different layers of flavor. The kombucha pairing was also SO yummy. Sitting outside had such a nice ambience and we were allowed to move inside when it got too chilly in the evenings. The inside was also beautiful! They did a great job keeping in tact the history of the building while adding modern touches. Kasvio is such a treat. Worth every penny. The staff was also very kind! 🙂

Heel erg genoten van het 5-gangen diner bij Kasvio. De gerechten zijn origineel, heel smaakvol en mooi opgediend. De porties zijn precies goed. In het restaurant hangt een fijne ontspannen sfeer en het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Ik kan geen minpuntje bedenken, het was perfect! Probeer zeker ook de huisgemaakte kombucha's. Bij elke gang kan je een bijpassende kombucha bestellen, super origineel, verrassend en lekker! Nog een voordeel, je kan ook halve glazen bestellen. Zeker de moeite waard!

Read moreThe location is quite unique. The restaurant itself has a very laidback atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome.
The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. If you have something to celebrate and want to have a great (plantbased) dining experience in Utrecht, Kasvio is the place to go. We will definitely be going back for a third time.

Fine vegan dining in an old building, that used to be a factory and at some time a cathedral. It’s called Metaalkathedraal. Entrance to the restaurant at the back of the building, where you can also find parking. We had an amazing 8 course dinner. Fixed menu, with wine pairing or kombucha pairing. Absolutely amazing!
