Great Nepali and South Asian food - Edit
I had a great chana masala with naan and vegetarian samosas here. The staff were helpful and attentive. About half of the menu is vegetarian. Do double-check with staff about which dishes are vegan or can be made so if you need to.

Need to explain a bit while ordering, but friendly staff and good food - Edit
Vegan dishes are not marked, and the staff asked me to remind them of any restrictions related to a vegan diet. In the end, 4-5 of the curries could be veganized, including Dal Tadka, Vegetable Jalfrezi, and I believe one with spinach, one with potatoes, and the last one with okra and potatoes.
Read moreI ordered the Nepali set (2 curries rice naan bread ice cream salad beverage). The ice cream is not vegan, salad dressing and naan are all not vegan, so I had them swap the naan for another bowl of rice and omit the rest.
The salad was dry without dressing, but I was very satisfied with and full after eating the curries. Also, despite omitting some items, I'd still recommend ordering the set for 1,780 Yen as the curries start at about 1,000 Yen, and soft drinks at 300 Yen.

So happy to find this place near the castle - Edit
We were delighted to find a vegetarian place so near the Shurijo castle after a morning of exploration. The lady is very welcoming and they have helpful suggestions if you want to remove dairy from the food as some in our group did. #Veganuary

Cons: The naan has a sprinkling of sugar, don’t know why

Medium selection - Edit
Almost all of the pakodas (pakoras), the samosas, the dal tadka, the vegetable jalfrezi, and the vegetable chow mein can be made vegan. Order with rice instead of naan (contains yogurt).

Dropped by after visiting the park - Edit
Planned to visit a suggestion near the entrance but wanted to go back by taking another route so I found this Nepal restaurant. Astonished to find the fried rice with corn, carrot and green beans. These three are not welcomed by many Taiwanese.
