Don’t miss out! - Edit
Definitely worth a trip here, we had 2 lovely mains with friends and then wonderful cakes! The bakewell black cherry cake was a massive highlight and I am still drooling about it hours later! Go here! A lovely spot and nice walk on the beach/ dunes too!

Hidden gem - Edit
We had a lovely quick stop at Karmic Cakery before heading home from our holiday. We shared the Greek gyros which was delicious and the lady kindly split it between two plates, it was still huge! We enjoyed a cafetière of really good coffee and picked up some amazing pear and caramel cakes to take away which we enjoyed later in our journey. We will definitely visit again when we are next in the area, the food was fabulous and the service warm and kind. Thank you 😊

Great find - Edit
Lovely savoury food - we had the hoisin duck wrap and the chicken wrap - both were delicious. Topped off with fabulous cake - cherry and almond, and spiced plum, both fantastic. Generous portions, savoury dishes cooked from fresh, and all with very friendly service. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely Cake - Edit
Was recommended this little cafe by our B&B host and it was worth the walk.
Read moreOnly oat milk on offer for coffee (I’m a soy girl) but the cakes were lovely. I had the chai cake which was divine and we took some chocolate caramel cupcakes away for later which were also delicious.
They share the same little outside seating area with the Bearclaw Brewery which is joined on next door so my partner had a pint with his cake!
The savoury options sounded lovely but we were too full to try them, def worth a visit.

Best vegan lunches and cakes in the whole of Northumberland. - Edit
The friendliest welcome in this cosy fully vegan cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. The tastiest cakes - different each week and all freshly home-baked! The savoury options are extremely varied, delicious and full of flavour. The soups are warming and tasty. We don’t go anywhere else as we just love being in, and eating at this fully vegan cafe.

Fab lunch choices - Edit
Popped in because I'd seen a Facebook post about the new 'crab' baguette - it did not disappoint. I've never actually eaten crab before so no idea how close this is, but there was a definite fishy taste, very tasty. Omni husband enjoyed it too - so it can't be too far off the real thing. We shared a coronation chicken baguette too - could have done with a bit more curry powder for us but again a lovely sandwich. The sticky ginger cake was also delicious. I won't leave it so long before we're back.

Good food! - Edit
Good soup-of-the-day (roasted red pepper & butternut squash) with warm roll. I took away the components for the tandoori chicken-style naanwich to warm up later - really good flavour! The orange cake slice was very good too. It’s a bit of a walk from central Berwick, but worth it. Lovely host/chef, Tanya. Closed Sun-Mon.

Tasty Food! - Edit
Although it is a small restaurant, there is a wide selection of dishes. Unfortunately, there was no cake left when we were there. However, this obviously speaks in favour of this restaurant. It is very popular. Friendly people surround this place.

So cute! - Edit
This place is cute but small. There are 8 seats inside, but crammed. They have some outside seatings as well. The toilet is outside and probably shared with the brewery next door.
Read moreThe food is good, especially the Mongolian no beef. The structure of the beef was good and the sauce amazing. Even the fried rolls were very good. The mushroom burger was quite good, but with too much fried elements for my taste. I also thought the banana bread tasted fried.

Delicious wee bakery - Edit
I was disappointed we had already eaten lunch when we called in here as the savoury options looked very tasty. That said I was not disappointed with the cakes we bought - a raspberry chocolate brownie and a jammy dodger sponge cake. The biggest difficulty was in choosing as the 4 or 5 cakes on offer all looked exceptionally enticing.

Very friendly cafe with good choice of vegan food. We got take away and went to sit on the beach nearby. Food was tasty - only 4 stars as the portions were a bit on the small side.

Nice lunch, perfect cakes, in an unexpected location - Edit
Real gem of a café in an unexpected ex-industrial location in a backstreet of Spittal a few minutes from the beach. Plenty of outside seating, could get a bit bracing with inclement weather, but when we visited on a Wednesday in early August we had lovely weather and it was really pleasant to be outside. Anyway, more importantly the main savoury dishes were good with some really tasty options available. So to the main event, the cakes: absolutely perfect! We had slices of chocolate ganache cake, and jammy dodger cake which had beautiful texture and taste, absolutely perfect. Hats off to Tania the owner who makes all the cakes and runs the place. Karmic Cakery is a must visit for vegan cake lovers, make the effort and you'll be pleased you did.

Fab little café - Edit
Went on a sunny Saturday afternoon with some friends. They were low on food by the time we arrived (around 3pm), but still managed to get the last two mushroom burgers, chicken equivalent naan bread and some chips. Really nice food and a very pleasant experience enjoying the beers from the brewery next door with the meal (and a nice chat with the stain glass window guy two doors down!). Would highly recommend.
