Good breakfast bowl - Edit
The vegan breakfast bowl came loaded with a lot of the healthy rainbow food you want as a plant based meal. It came with a very generous serving of tofu and everything was seasoned perfectly. The service was excellent and the location could not be better; right on the beach. Definitely will go back when in Bucerias.

Karen's is a solid option especially if you are the odd vegan out. Their menu is massive and thoughtfully does include a couple of options for us sane eaters. The vibe is nice as it's right on the water. The cuisine is not likely to blow your mind, but it's good! And I wasn't mad about the visit. So not mad that I plan to go back again soon!

Karen’s place is a must visit if you love a vegan bowl. The flavour profile is amazing!! You can sit right on the beach under one of their many umbrellas or under the thatched tiki roof section.

The staff there are wonderful…even had one of them help us with our SIM card.
We’ve already been there 3 times!!!

Great option for a beachfront experience. Mocktails, drinks, happy hour menu with chips, guac, and salsa. Plus the vegan bowl option for dinner. It was simple and delicious.

I ordered the Vegan Bowl and coffee twice for breakfast. The Vegan bowl was good. The potato cubes could have been cooked a little more or fried as they were not too soft, I was there right at opening in the morning. Overall the bowl was very good and healthy. The portion size could have been a little better.
Read moreThe first time I went I was not charged for the soy milk that I added to my coffee. The second time I went I was charged 10 pesos (50 cents) extra for the soy milk. I don't think those customers that asked for cream for their coffee were charged. So I felt a little vegan discrimination.
Overall, a good place right on the beach to have a vegan meal.

This place is right on the beach which is nice but it is quite expensive. The vegan option they have is a "vegan bowl" which is more like a chili with tofu in it. Glad they have the option but it's not great..
