Not suitable for vegans - Edit

The restaurant looks nice enough but is really not amazing. There is not much choice for vegans and despite the waitress attempting to help me find a good vegan option, my dish was eventually served with an egg in the middle, which was, of course, quite disappointing. Furthermore, one I was finally able to eat, I can only say the food was not very tasty and somewhat bland. I cannot recommend this place.

Pros: None

Cons: Few vegan options , Bland food

Nice, but limited vegan options - Edit

Although there are vegan options available, they are not labeled as such. The waitress gave the allergens list on request and most products that look vegan actually contain milk, fish (sauce) or shellfish so always ask for the list!

Managed to find 3 vegan options (the portion sizes are tapas style). One of the dishes was veganized on request, but by error was served with egg.

The food was tasty and good. The service was fast and friendly. It's a nice place, but be very sure what you order is really vegan.

Pros: Tasty food, Friendly service

Cons: Limited vegan choices

very friendly and helpful staff - Edit

A very pretty restaurant near the Amsterdam Museum. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful with picking vegan options. Really large portions. A very satisfying lunch. Good value too.

Lovely, busy restaurant - Edit

Kantjil is a pretty popular restaurant for locals and tourists alike. Food seems to be pre-made since the service is incredibly fast, but great tasting notheless. There are enough vegan options and the athmosphere is pleasant. Great place to visit with non-vegan friends.

Pros: Variety of dishes, Friendly staff, Dishes are well-seasoned, great tasting

Cons: Noisy, Seating may take long
