Serves meat, vegan options available. Japanese ramen restaurant with vegan ramen, donburi, buns, and appetizers. Open Mon-Thu 11:00am-9:30pm, Fri-Sat 11:00am-10:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-9:00pm.
The ramen labeled as vegan is not actually vegan (contains egg) - Edit
Kami is delicious, but unfortunately serves food that is falsely advertised as being vegan. I've been going there since they opened a few years ago, ordering the ramen from the "Vegan Ramen" section of the menu, where each individual ramen option also has the word "vegan" in the name, so I reasonably believed that they were vegan. However, I was just recently informed by a server that none of the "vegan ramens" are actually vegan, as they use noodles that contain egg.
However, you can make the ramen vegan by subbing the regular noodles with kale noodles. But unfortunately this isn't written on the menu and it's super misleading and dangerous that they are serving ramen labeled as vegan when it actually has eggs. Also disappointing that there's an upcharge for the kale noodles.
I would suggest that Happy Cow put this info (eg. "Vegan" ramen is not vegan) in the bio for this restaurant to prevent others from unknowingly consuming egg.
