Great menu but it’s definitely possible to order a dud - Edit
They have an outstanding, clear, and varied vegan menu. However the item I had last night was slimy and unappetizing: “Order First,Think Later.” I have had better items from here but I do think they’re a step below Samurai Sushi in terms of their creations.

Vegan menu but mostly cross contaminated - Edit
I've been to the location in town where I've asked if the vegan food is cooked together with the seafood and other non vegan items. The location in town assured me they weren't. I came to the Kirkland location and asked again, to which they said all the vegan items are cooked with the shellfish. This is done to enable meat eaters who are allergic to shellfish to be safe from allergens. I was left with almost no options left to choose from on the "vegan menu". Very disappointing experience.

Vegan menu!! - Edit
We loved the extensive vegan menu at Kamakura. We love their sister restaurant in Seattle and this food was just as good. We love that they have vegan sushi options as well as a variety of vegan entrees. The way they do their tofu is so good. The space is small, but service was fast and friendly.

This is my go-to on the eastside!!! I love that they have an entire vegan menu with a thoughtful variety of flavors, textures, and sauces. The avocuddle is my favorite but I’ve enjoyed every roll I’ve had here!

They have an entire vegan menu to choose from! I was in heaven. I tried the avocuddle and vegetarian rolls—both amazing. The mayo-type sauce on the avocuddle roll was divine. I will definitely be back.

Interior of restaurant was pretty utilitarian but the food outshined the decor.
As of 5/7, they are waiting for a liquor license.
