Very helpful and friendly but avoid sweet and sour - Edit
The staff were lovely and the service great, I went with a group and they gave everyone a slip of paper with bill on. Able to tell me the veg rolls had an egg wash so not vegan. Have a vegetarian section on menu but almost all of these were labelled "spicy". Ended up with sweet and sour veg and boiled rice which sadly was awful. Lots of pineapple chunks and not much veg in a very runny tasteless soup/sauce. Very disappointing as it had been recommended by friends, maybe I just chose poorly.

Ask lots of questions - Edit
It was a great meal but it's really not a lot different to any Chinese restaurant anywhere with no vegan (or vegetarian) labelling. The staff were super helpful at helping us find the vegan options but it wasn't easy as they only knew about allergens and not about veganism so you need to ask a lot of questions that you might not be aware of. Such as "is there shrimp in the satay sauce?" She thought not but brought the jar for us to check and there was shrimp. Similarly you will need to check there isn't oyster sauce in the dishes. We were told the spring rolls might contain eggs and that the salt and pepper mushrooms/tofu did (again we asked these questions) so there wasn't much choice left for the starters. We had the veg in lettuce leaves and seaweed and they were different but not what we would've chosen. Mains we had stuffed mushrooms and beancurd and cashew nuts with szechuan sauce. Both were excellent. We asked about noodles and they were happy to provide vermicelli instead of egg noodles as a side dish which was fab and also fried rice without egg.
Read moreI googled the wines and found several were vegan.
Pros: Kind helpful staff, Tasty main courses/fried rice/vermicelli side, Vegan wine, not labelled on menu though bottle was
Cons: Lack of choice of starters, Staff not knowledgeable about vegans, No labelling of veggie/vegan options

I had crispy seaweed with crushed cashew nuts, Lo Hon Chai (mushroom, vegetable, and tofu dish), and boiled rice. Big portions, piping hot, and delicious.

Kam Sang vegan meals - Edit
We had a lovely evening meal. It was midweek and clearly quite popular but service was very good. Helpful Staff who understood vegan diet. We enjoyed the shared vegetable, cashew and lettuce starter. We loved our mains with chow mein:

Delicious - Edit
Very nice traditional (I mean for a Chinese restaurant in the UK- no idea whether it would feel traditional in China!) Cantonese restaurant with nice staff. Felt family -run. A good selection of vegan options and the food was really delicious. We had veggie and rice noodle lettuce wraps and tofu satay skewers to start, then stuffed mushrooms and a stir-fry with tofu, mixed mushrooms, black fungus and veggies. All excellent.

Great food and service - Edit
Visited as a party of 3 over coronation weekend without a reservation but were seated without any difficulty, despite it being very busy.
Read moreMenu does not have vegan options labelled, but staff were vegan aware and very helpful, and in the end we ordered the salt and pepper tofu, tofu satay in peanut sauce, fried tofu and cashew nuts in szechuan sauce, mixed veg and tofu in garlic, chilli and black bean sauce, with boiled rice, chips and curry sauce, all to share.
The tofu in all dishes was exceptional and so succulent, whilst the sauces were perfectly spiced and very flavourful. The blackbean was my personal favourite.
Interior is inviting and staff were attentive but not intrusive, allowing for a lovely evening meal and atmosphere. Inexpensive too. I will definitely return again.
Pros: Great food , Staff , Atmosphere
Cons: Must request vegan

Definitely worth a visit. True love cafe was shut on both days we were there sadly. You've just reminded me to review Francescas!
