Good but super expensive and overpriced - Edit
I was excited to try this place but couldn’t believe the prices. The ambiance is a neighborhood cafe but the prices are as high as the most gourmet vegan places. Veggie burgers for $25?! My friend and I were taken aback by the prices, so we each got 1 thing on the cheaper side (a $17 appetizer of oyster mushrooms with ranch dressing that were really good and at least a huge portion) and 2 tacos (for $18!).

This place perpetuates the stereotype that only rich people can afford to eat (let alone be) vegan.
Pros: Good food, Black-owned business, All vegan
Cons: Expensive , Expensive , Expensive

Cons: Expensive - and they charge more here than Chicag, Ridiculous and mean to us.

Hyped. Doesn’t deliever - Edit
I was really looking forward to eating here, had a reservation for a really long time before flying out to America.
Read moreThe food was average and uninspiring. The staff were very friendly but unfortunately the food let the place down.
The Jack nuggets actually make me feel rather sick later in the evening - something about the flavour just repeated on me and I massively regretted ordering them.
The “daddy” hotdog was ok… but sadly not special.
Would score probably a 4 star if it wasn’t for the ludicrously high prices!
Pros: All vegan
Cons: Over priced, Nothing special

Good, but overpriced - Edit
Really great to see an all vegan menu with plenty of options but I felt it it was very overpriced for what it was.

Not as good as I was hoping - Edit
The food was fine but not extraordinary. I felt bad because I invited friends there and they were underwhelmed with the food and shocked at the prices.

Great vegan food - Edit
We really enjoyed our lunch meal here! The jackfruit nuggets were fried to perfection and meaty enough to dip in bbq sauce. The jackfruit wrap was also wonderful, I loved that it was pressed so it was crispy. Our side of kale was a little too salty for me, otherwise everything was delicious. Excellent service here as well! My only complaint was it was on the pricey side

Pricey but worth it - Edit
Lemon pepper cauliflower bites? Delicious. Fried mushroom burrito? Delicious. Cheesecake?? Delicious. I spent $60 on appetizer, entree, dessert, and tons of leftovers for myself. Totally worth it, and I'll do it again
Read moreEven though the menu is small, there is something for everyone. Healthy foods, fried foods, and many different cultures.
The atmosphere is so beautiful, and the large windows let you peak out onto the strip, very pretty at night. The ladies who work here are wonderful and treated me respectfully even though I'm obviously very socially awkward and rarely dine in because of it.
Pros: Good range of options, Food is so good, Lovely atmosphere and humans

Good But Costly - Edit
I finally made it to this sylish Cafe on Ventura Blvd. Before you go, you should be aware that this is one of the most expensive vegan restaurants in LA. My breakfast burrito was 22 dollars, and they offer a vegan burger with two Beyond Burger patties for a 39 dollars if you get it with vegan cheese.

Cons: Expensive

Best of the Best - Edit
Kale My Name has some of the best vegan food out there. Loved everything I tried, waffles, cauliflower wings, burger, and the tacos were my favorite. Must try if you're in Encino, worth the drive from the city. Just try to time it right because LA traffic is no joke. This location is Co-owned by Tabitha Brown, so don't be surprised if you run into her there. Make reservations, they weren't accepting walk-ins at the time I went, that could change in the future. Instantly one of my favorite places to eat, will definitely be back anytime I'm in LA. #Veganuary
