We were lucky enough to get a walk in table on our first night in Ohrid - the location on the waters edge is amazing (especially at sunset). We shared four dishes, including a vegan moussaka, sarma and beans. We also had some bread and olives, but overall our eyes were bigger than our bellies and we struggled to finish it all! The food was so tasty we decided to book for dinner again and pre-ordered the vegan casserole (definitely advise doing this)! Our table this time was literally on the jetty and the casserole came in a huge clay pot with tonnes of veg. Staff are knowledgeable on veganism and very friendly. Highly recommend coming here for traditional Macedonian food if you’re in Ohrid.

The Best restaurant in Ohrid!! - Edit
I had sarma, moussaka, olives, ajvar. Ajvar and sarma were really great. The staff knows what is vegan. I had the best food here in North Macedonia. The traditional food here is really great, nice view of the lake and very nice staff.

Great experience, great taste and lovely staff - Edit
The staff knew what was vegan and gave us some good tips. We ended up trying three traditional dips with some break and two traditional pots. They were so delicious, we had two order two more (because the pots were quite small but so nice). The location has a beautiful area for sitting directly at the lake. Just follow the signs over the wooden pier.

You have to visit this place for the best traditional food in the Balkans! We've been traveling around for a month, and this is hands down the best meal we've had so far. The menu is rich with vegan options, and everything we tried was phenomenal—beans cooked to perfection, crispy fried aubergine, and fried bread that was out of this world.

The ambiance is cozy and inviting, though there aren't many tables, so it's best to book in advance if you're more than two people. We didn’t reserve a spot for our first visit, but we got lucky. Now, we're heading back tomorrow for dinner because it’s absolutely worth a second visit. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this place!
Update: At our second visit we had preordered the vegan casserole, that has to be ordered at least 3 hours ahead. For starters we had the vegan plate. Both were really good.

Best Vegan Food with a view - Edit
The best vegan food we had on our trip to Ohrid. You also get an amazing view over the lake. I totally recommend going there if you want to eat more than just fries and salat.

The restaurant has an idyllic location with their terrace overlooking the lake. They had several vegetarian and vegan options. The musaka was amazing! The staff was also friendly. The waiting time was a bit on the long side but definitely worth it!

There were a lot of options on the menu that were labeled vegetarian but most of them didn’t have any eggs or dairy. The food was good, the staff was nice and the location was beautiful.
