Amazing experience

Best is to bring a person who speaks Japanese with you. Small restaurant (7 seats), we made a reservation. Multi course set meal for 3,500 Yen (dinner). Cook talks a lot in Japanese about everything. He said it's all vegan. Some dishes look like seafood/traditional Japanese food. Tasty!

Authentic Shojinryori

A seasonal course meal. If ask, they will accommodate takeouts. Truly amazing experience and foods are all cooked from scratch. Authentic temple Gomadohfu (sesame tofu) is the best I ever had. The owner chef has been a temple priest where he learnt to cook the shojinryoji.

Pros: Shojinryori cuisine by Buddhist temple priest, Traditional Green Tea serving , One of a kind

Cons: Requires reservation, Cash only, No English

Cosy setting and friendly host

Vegan course menu. Host is a plant based buddist. Great food but recommended to book in advance of visit. English is a little difficult.
結婚記念日に家族でお邪魔しました。精進料理をコースで楽しめます。菜食主義者の住職?店主の面白くてありがたいお話も聞けます。 温かくウェルカムな雰囲気でたくさん笑わせてもらいました。また絶対行きます!

Pros: 100% vegan, Nice setting , Friendly and funny owner

Cons: English is difficult
