I didn’t enjoy the Kässpatzn at all, the Kaiserschmarrn was good but more like a pancake than a proper Kaiserschmarrn. The staff seemed to be in a bad mood. I was very excited to eat at Kaiserhüttn but it turned out to be pretty disappointing.

The Kaiserschmarren, Käsespätzle, Gurkensalat, Currywurst are all amazing, this restaurant really hits the spot when you want veganised versions of traditional German foods. The burgers aren’t our favourites, but there are enough other options to make us extremely happy and returning time after time. Also great for take always. The owners are always a little grumpy, but to be honest that’s just part of the authentic charm.

Good, inexpensive, veganised traditional food. Friendly service. Take into account that the chip shop smell will linger in your clothes for a while. Only cash payments were accepted.

Was soll ich sagen? Das Essen ist einfach fantastisch! Bisher hat mich absolut alles geschmacklich mehr als überzeugt. Die Käsespätzle schmecken wirklich wie man sie von früher kennt ^^ Die Bratkartoffeln und die Currywurst sind bisher mein Favorit, aber ich bin mir sicher, dass man mit keinen Gericht eine falsche Entscheidung trifft :)

Ich hab es dort geliebt. Mir hat zwar eine Soße nicht so geschmeckt, aber das wäre zu subjektiv, um einen Stern abzuziehen, denn es lag nicht an der Qualität oder Ähnliches. Ich komme wieder!

SatNav took us to street parking near to the cafe. It’s paid parking. Walked on to the cafe on the corner. Varied menu. Order at the counter. Take bottled drinks from the fridge by the counter, there’s a bottle opener to the right.

Bavarian specialties in vegan - Edit
I'd say it's very different to what most vegans usually eat, but that makes it even more special. Loved the different options and I felt like going back to traditional german kitchen after a long time. Very special and delicious. A 'must do' when in Bonn!

This is not your average vegan bowls-and-quinoa-café. It's truly unique and offers lots of dishes you don't get elsewhere, like Leberkäse and Semmelknödel. Plus, their homemade fancy cakes are a must!

Delicious Käsespätzle - Edit
I enjoyed their Käsespätzle on their lovely terrace, although their Bavarian decoration requires some getting used to. Unfortunately, they did not have spaghetti ice cream when I went, and they asked everybody to leave at 20:00 because they close so early. Another disadvantage is that they don't accept cards, but I could pay for the first time in my life in a restaurant by PayPal.

Vegan sollte nicht, weil es vegan ist, teuer sein.. Es soll schmecken und mit bisschen mehr Liebe serviert werden. Vor allem in einem vegan Laden erwartet man mehr Gemüse auf dem Teller..

I couldn’t decide between two meals so I ordered both (Carbonara, potato salad and oat patties). It was delicious and my friend was happily surprised about the gluten free options. Staff was super friendly and at the counter I bought vegan nougat and marzipan which was very delicious as well !

If in Bonn, Don't Miss! - Edit
Was intrigued by the idea of a vegan take on Bavarian specialties, given that as a vegan much of German traditional food is not an option. This place nails it. Had the Käsespätzle. Wow! Heaven on Earth. Will be going back for another plateful before my 2-week stay in Bonn is up. It's that good.

Habe bestimmt schon alles dort gegessen und alles ist super!!! Mein Favorit sind die Spaghetti Carbonara, die sich vom Original beim Italiener fast nicht unterscheiden! Aber auch alles andere ist klasse. Zu fast allen Gerichten gibt es Bratkartoffeln (sonst extra bestellen), die sehr kross und herzhaft sind - mein zweiter Tipp. Mein dritter Tipp ist zum Dessert der Kaiserschmarrn mit Apfel- oder Pflaumenmus, den muss man probiert haben!

Cute restaurant with outdoor seating and a simple and reasonably priced Bavarian/German food. (Just don’t get a Beyond Burger if you want a reasonable price.) In a country where vegan restaurants are normally falafel or cig kofte, this is a nice change of pace. Unfortunately it closes at 8 - even on Friday (and the kitchen closes a little earlier). BRING CASH. Can only pay with EC cards over 30€ and no credit cards.
