Hummus!

I found freshly made hummus here! I was quite excited as there had been a severe lack of hummus in my 7.5 months in Latin America. It was 19 soles for a large tub.
Also got a vegan brownie which was just ok (6 soles).
Friendly staff.
Also stocks a few plant milks.

Right next to Garden of Vegan.

Adding a shop because they sell one or two vegan items is making this application redundant. I can add my local shop because their crisps (chips) are vegan. The petrol station sells vegan water, let's get this on here. This shop is overpriced in everything I've asked for in there, calling it vegan is going too far. Visit the vegan restaurant next door.

Pros: It's next to a vegan restaurant.

Cons: Not a vegan restaurant.

Lovely shop for natural food and health products, and more

Set on Calle Berriozabal just a few steps from the intersection with Avenida Ferrocarril, Kaia Sharanam is a lovely boutique selling a variety of packaged natural and organic food items, natural health and beauty products, regional handicrafts, and other items that may be of interest to travelers and people interested in healthy lifestyles.

There were brownies on display, which triggered my Pavlovian response: I asked if they were vegan. The shopkeeper said no, but then summoned me to the fridge and, with a mischievous smile, said, "Estos son veganos" ("These are vegan"). Sold. Yum.

I also picked up some green clay to help with skin irritation i got from bites in the jungle below Machu Picchu. Nice to have such a place around. Do consider dropping by to support them.

Pros: Vegan brownies - is that not reason enough? :-)
