Great coffee, good place to stop - Edit
Super friendly stuff, great coffee, serve meats, but many vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available. If you are contacting them before your trip, probably they would organize something for your request. Highly recommend it 😊

Young business eager to expand vegan options. - Edit
I stopped by here to grab a quick coffee while passing through Taumarunui. I asked if they had vegan treats and ended up engaging in a lovely conversation with the owner, Tash.
Read moreKai Nui is a new business and Tash is enthusiastic about vegan food and eager to include vegan options on the menu. She created an open sandwich for us that was delicious!
Though not a vegan chef, she already knows a lot about vegan food and is eager to learn more and take suggestions and ideas on board.
I highly recommend stopping by and having a chat. They'll be happy to adapt their menu to create a vegan option for you.
(Also, the coffee is good and the little fat bombs are really tasty!)
