Lovely vegan breakfast

Love their vegan breakfast with their omlette tofu, the pancakes are lovely too.

Quite small so would go as an adult meet up.

Pros: Really nice food

Cons: Not child friendly

Popped in for brunch - very nice atmosphere, lovely cuppa and some very interesting vegan options on the menu. Had the vegan Benedict which was really nice and the portions are massive.

Delicious brunch at sister venue

Ate at Pai, just across the road from Kai (but not on happy cow!). Delicious brunch - vegan benedict with sausages, cashew hollandaise and vegan omelette and a glass of prosecco! Delightful and reasonably priced too.

Best pancakes in Leicester

Back in summer, I had three soft and fluffy pancakes with biscoff. I chose to add fresh chopped strawberries and I'm glad I did as I didn't realise how sweet the biscoff would be.

Kai's offerings are a little on the pricier side and the place can get busy (especially at weekends), but it's worth the wait and a nice treat!

Pros: Good customer service

Cons: Gets busy

Sriracha scrambled tofu!

With smashed avocado on sourdough. So yummy I'm going to try making it too! Pancakes can be veganised.

Pros: Generous portions., Good service.

Cons: Still mostly serves pre-vegan food.

Vegan benedict

The vegan benedict with sausages is so good! You wouldn't mistake it for egg but it was really tasty and filling. Oh had the American pancakes which were an excellent consistency but we're very sweet so maybe ask for maple syrup on the side

The best brunch food in Leicester

The pancakes are to die for!!!!! So good and a great choice of toppings. The green goodness bowl is also delicious especially with added Siracha tofu. The coffee is average but the chai latte is gorgeous. There are loads of vegan options and the interior is lovely.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Amazing pancakes , Fresh and tasty

Best Pancakes

I went for brunch with my bestie; we both ordered vegan pancakes with peanut butter poured over and a blueberry compot, my friend also had banana. The pancakes were very soooo thick and fluffy- more so than any I had prior to becoming a vegan! We ordered a stack of 3 each but could have easily shared as there was so much and masses of toppings. It’s in the lovely St Martin’s Square and has a very pretty, modern interior. It’s uncommon to find so many vegan options on a menu, let alone vegan dishes executed to perfection. the only downside is it’s a bit pricy, but in my opinion, totally justifiable for the quality- I had lots of social media messages on the back of posting some photos.
